I believe I did everything you mentioned, installing the kexts to /Library/Extensions now

true, although not seen an issue where it doesn't work as of yet but something to try if it does fails

also without full problem reporting files, it is a bit difficult to guess

I guess my other post didn't go through, double check that I did everything correctly this time around, installing kexts to /Library/Extensions now via hackintool

<key>ResetHDA</key> enable this

remove this:
10.12.6+x299-ALC-Onboard-Audio

and upload complete problem reporting files

After installing all the kexts through hackintool, my trackpad no longer works, and no luck with audio. I also applied those config.plist changes. I will submit these files shortly

remove SSDT-HDEF-CAVS-1 from acpi/patched

what patches have you done in DSDT?

also, did you delete AppleHDA.kext ?

if so, then re run the macOS installer to refresh the kexts on your system

Are you talking about the rename cavs to hdef?
