I'm building a CAD workstation and got a crazy idea that perhaps I could hackintosh it. I would love to do most of my work on a Mac and then switch over to a PC when I needed to run my PC CAD progs.

Heres my build so far:

i7-4790K
Asus Z97-A/USB 3.1
g.skill ripjaws x series 4x8gb ddr3-2133
Samsung 850 pro 512gb SSD
Quadro K620 gpu
BenQ BL3200PT monitor

PC Software:
Autodesk Revit
Rhino5

Mac:
AdobeCC (no video work, mostly Illustration & web design)

cross-platform (incl. iOS):
Google drive/apps/mail/etc
AdobeCC storage

any known compatibility issues?
would it be possible to run a 2nd SSD for OS X? Adv/disadv?

background on me:
I've taught graphic design PT at a comm. college for 10 yrs. using Macs. Started with PowerMac G5s. Now 27" iMacs. Despite being mostly a PC guy I have really liked using Macs, especially for AdobeCC. I've already tried a 2-system setup and didn't like it. But that was before I became a convert to the cloud. I do have a old MacPro3,1 and a G5 in retirement. Wanted to get a new 5k iMac but don't like the idea of 2 enormous monitors on my already crowded workspace. MacPro is beyond my budget right now. I have looked around here a bit and haven't found the answer to my question. The HackPro guide came the closest.

Any hope for my build?

thanks for any help!
Dan

Only thing I see in your build that might cause problems is the Quadro GPU. Everything else will work with OS X. Not sure if the K5000 or the 4000 drivers will work with your card, but probably not well if at all.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00856XFUS/?tag=tonymacx86com-20 or http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00475DQ6Y/?tag=tonymacx86com-20 makes it quite easy to multiboot OSs. Just have the current OS in the bay and boot it. Never have to worry about boot loader compatibility.
For drive storage get a http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JJ9L3P4/?tag=tonymacx86com-20 and/or a http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007OXK0YM/?tag=tonymacx86com-20 to protect your drives.
