Save all of your settings, files, apps, etc... by following this simple guide to upgrade OS X Mavericks to OS X Yosemite.

1. Boot OS X Mavericks
2. Remove /Extra/modules/FileNVRAM.dylib if present
3. Remove /System/Library/Extensions/GenericUSBXHCI.kext if present
4. Edit /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist to remove the following 2 lines if present:

5. Create a bootable USB using UniBeast 5
6. Boot from USB and install OS X Yosemite over your existing Mavericks installation
7. Reboot from the USB and choose your existing drive
8. Run MultiBeast 7 and select the following options, and any system-specific Audio and Network drivers.

is the kernel flag responsible for the "can't find; mach_kernel" error when I try to boot into the installer using unibeast?

also; thanks for all the amazing work like always.

My guess is that you selected Laptop support, as I had the same issue. Be patient, and wait until later today for Unibeast 5.0.1 to fix this issue, or if you're really impatient, you can go into your unibeast created drive, go to Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist, and remove these two lines:
Code:
[COLOR=#000000]<key>Kernel</key>[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000]<string>mach_kernel</string>[/COLOR]

Or change the string to the correct directory, like so:
Code:
[COLOR=#000000]<key>Kernel</key>[/COLOR]
[COLOR=#000000]<string>[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]/System/Library/Kernels/kernel[/COLOR][COLOR=#000000]</string>[/COLOR]

Make sure you follow letter casing as well.

I really suggest you wait instead, and let Tony and MacMan release an updated one we know will work.

Ok thanks... ill wait!

also i didnt select laptop support!!

and that line of code is not in my unibeast file!

Is there really supposed to be a release of UniBeast 5.0.1 later today, or is this how rumors start?
There will be an updated release today.
