The following is a guide to install Mac OS Mojave on ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-G Gaming (WI-FI AC) LGA 1151 (300 Series) Micro ATX Intel Motherboard with an Intel Core i5-8600K Coffee Lake 6-Core 3.6 GHz (4.3 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 95W BX80684I58600K Desktop Processor Intel UHD Graphics 630.

I Struggled for three weeks with this build and decided to come up with a guide to help out other people who may have the same parts as I do. I hope you all find this guide helpful as I tried to make it as straight forward as possible without a lot fluff in it. This guide assumes you have access to a mac machine/hackintosh Enjoy.

NOTE: This is not a Troubleshooting thread! So please do not post issues regarding this build or any other build. Thank you!

NOTE: This guide is for on board graphics only. I will update this guide once I get my dedicated graphics card. Thank you.

STEP 1: CREATING THE USB

Please refer to the USB creation of Mac OS Mojave https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...ojave-on-any-supported-intel-based-pc.259381/. The UNIBEAST method worked best for me the createmedia method did not work for me. Once completed please continue to step 2.

STEP 2:
Configuring the BIOS

Ensure your BIOS is updated to the latest firmware then set everything to default. Then set the following:
Advanced/CPU Configuration/Intel Virtualization Technology - Enabled
Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/VT-d - Disabled
Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/Graphics Configuration/RC6(Render Standby) - Enabled
Advanced/System Agent (SA) Configuration/Graphics Configuration/DVMT Pre-Allocated - 192M (64M should also work)
Advanced/USB Configuration/Legacy USB Support - Enabled
Advanced/USB Configuration/USB Keyboard and Mouse Simulator - Disabled
Boot/CSM (Compatibility Support Module)/ Launch CSM - Enabled
Boot/Secure - Enabled
Boot/ OS Type - Other OS
(Optional)Ai Tweaker/Ai Overclock Tuner - XMP

STEP 3:
ADDING THE KEXTS AND CONFIG.PLIST

I have attached my config.plist and kexts folder to this post for your convenience. Please do not paste an entire EFI folder from a previous build as it will corrupt the new EFI folder that was made during STEP 2. The EFI folder must be updated to match what version of Clover UniBeast uses, if you are planning to copy/paste a whole EFI folder. This is why I only attached my CONFIG.PLIST and KEXTS instead of the whole EFI folder. I found this out the hard way as I was troubleshooting my own build. I had been copying and pasting the entier EFI folder into the newly created usb. I hope this helps someone out.

Download the latest version of Clover Configurator. https://mackie100projects.altervista.org/download-clover-configurator/

Once downloaded. Open Clover Configurator and click on EFI. Click mount partition where you see EFI on install macOS Mojave enter YOUR password and wait for it to open

Download the KEXT folder and CONFIG.plist. Copy and then Paste the CONFIG.PLIST into EFI/CLOVER. Afterwards Copy and then past the entire KEXTS folder into EFI/CLOVER. Properly eject the USB drive and go to YOUR target hackintosh machine.

STEP 4: THE INSTALLATION

Once the machine boots press F8 and choose the UEFI USB boot option and let clover load. Select macOS Mojave install option and be patient as it loads. From here it's a pretty straight forward process. When the machine reboots after it installs press F8 and select UEFI USB and then boot macOS from YOUR hard drive name and let the install complete.

After setting up your account and making the proper selections it will boot to the desktop. Once it does open Clover Bootloader again and mount both partitions. Copy/Paste the whole EFI folder from EFI on install macOS Mojave to EFI on APFS Container followed by YOUR hard drive name. Properly eject the usb and restart the computer. The computer should restart without the need for the USB inserted. Once it loads login and let the desktop load.

WHAT WORKS:

Ethernet (I'm assuming its working provided that I did not have a way of testing it properly at the time of the build. Please let me know down below if it does. Thank you!)
Quick Sync
Sleep/Wake
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
Audio
AirPlay
iBooks
iMessage
Continuity
Handoff (including handing off phone calls from iPhone)
AirDrop
Night Shift
Power Nap
USB 3.1 Gen 2 ports

WHAT DOESN'T WORK:

Everything appears to be in working order. Please let me know down below if I missed anything. Thank you!

If you followed this guide step by step and carefully you should have macOS Mojave installed successfully with minimal and I do mean minimal adjustments on the config.plist. In fact there should not have to be any adjustments made as it was already pre-configured for this build.

Hi,

I'm trying a near identical build, ASUS ROG H370-I, i5 8400, and UHD 630 as well.
I think I may have an issue with a corrupted EFI file as you described.
If you could share some insight as to how you resolved that problem during your own troubleshooting I'd be very grateful.

I only care about one thing whether Wireless net can work or not?

Hello,

my config is

Asus Strix Z370g gaming
And RX 580
Intel Core i5 8600k

I have been trying so hard to fix my amd graphics, audio, internet, and other kexts for so long.

was working continuously to fix my broken installation.

I just found yours as easy as it is.
just thought of having the broken one and continue working without main features.
now here I am with the properly completed installation

As my board doesn't offer WI-FI, I'm not getting that alone.
Checked my Amd performing so well in the activity monitor minimising my Cpu.

Many thanks to you :)
