[Guide] Sony VAIO FIT 15E | macOS High Sierra 10.13

OMG, I'm here just to thank you for that amazing guide. Our Vaio Fit 15E is a great piece of hardware. I've just upgrade mine to a SSD and it feels like a brand new machine. I'm planning now to do a CPU upgrade, it seems that's possible.

Thanks again!

EDIT:

It's not possible, out laptop has a BGA socket, meaning it's soldered :(

Hello! Thank you for such a great guide! Interested in converting my Vaio svF15n since it doesn't take Win 10 well. Is it possible for you to upload you SVF1521 - config.plist again?

I'm desperate going from post to post elsewhere on the internet where ALC233 mentioned…

I can not do that ALC233 has stereo sound in 10.13.2

I have L and R channels mixed with echo. (I probably would not even notice that I do not use the headphones)

Something is nasty wrong here in macOS High Sierra .:banghead:

I have karaoke sound whatever patch I do. I know any faq and any audio tutorial by rote now
after so many attempts.

(DSDT, AppleALC v1.2.2, AppleHDA v1.8, VoodooHDA v2.8.8 +Lilu v1.2.1 & Codec-Commander 2017-12-17. )

I have a sound with every possible one. But not stereo.
IOReg can not reproduce this - because shows that everything works fine. This is PinConfigs bug…probably.
<dict>
<key>AFGLowPowerState</key>
<data>AwAAAA==</data>
<key>Codec</key>
<string>Mirone - Realtek ALC233</string>
<key>CodecID</key>
<integer>283902515</integer>
<key>ConfigData</key>

HRACFx4rAhcfAwFHDAI=
</data>
<key>FuncGroup</key>
<integer>1</integer>
<key>LayoutID</key>
<integer>3</integer>
</dict>

But it looks good. This has remained unchanged for years.
I'll try several more times ...
.....

What version of Mirone/AppleHDAPatcher you use here ?
From GitHub or insanelymac.com ?

v1.7, v1.8 or v1.3?

No.
As per post #1, this guide/thread is for an Ivy Bridge/HD4000 Sony.
Your laptop is Haswell.

Hello there!

First of all, great job :D I've never seen such a detailed guide on installing MacOS in a VAIO series notebook.
My notebook model is a little different from yours, it's a SVF152C29X, also called SVF15213CBW in some countries.
As far as I can see, the same guide could be used for my notebook, excluding the backlit keyboar part, since mine does not have one.
Am I right in thinking I could use your guide to install MacOS on my notebook?

Specs:

CPU: i5-3337u (1.8Ghz)
RAM: 8Gb DDR3-1600Mhz
GRAPHICS: Intle HD Graphics 4000
TRACKPAD: Synaptics
WIFI: It's not supported, so I don't expect it to work anyway

Thank you very much!

Hi.

First of all thank you very much for your guide.

I have a VAIO with specs:

Sony VAIO laptop - svf142c29m (SVF1421B4E)
CPU: iivy bridge i3 - 3227U 1.8 ghz
RAM: 8Gb DDR3-1600Mhz
GRAPHICS: intel HD Graphics 4000
TRACKPAD: ...
Intel® HM76 Express Chipset

I am following your guide to install High Sierra.

The kexts from RehabMan have multiplied :)
I read the about guide on bitbucket, but cannot find some answers:

Should I use all kexts and put them to the others folder?

And should I only put the kexts there? There is also a deamon and an an app.

My guess would be that I should run/ isntall it later. At least this is what I will try now.

Config.plist link is broken twice.

Cloud you repost it please?

Cheers!
