Hi guys,

Built a budget customac using below components;

Asus H110M-A M.2 Motherboard
Intel i3-6100 CPU

Kingston DDR4 8GB RAM
Samsung 840 PRO SSD (Enable trim support)
TP-LINK WN725N wifi adapter (Driver from TP-Link : TL-WN725N(US)_V2.2_160822_Mac)

Used Sierra installation guide using Unibeast 7.1.1 and able to install a fresh copy of Sierra 10.12.5 (Latest from App Store) in to the SSD. Thanks for the awesome guide.

Upon first boot to the SSD seems to have the graphics glitch common to hd 530 inside i3-6100 however at least able to boot into Sierra desktop is something good. I have few issues;

1. Clover boot loader issue [Solved]

If I run Multibeast - Sierra 9.1.0, I can't boot and it gives either kernel panic or stops at IOConsoleUsers: iIOScreenLockState 3..... line while running with arg -v. To get the boot loader I have copied /EFI directory from UniBeast usb to SSD /EFI directory and it helped to get the clover boot loader options to get without USB. I believe it is related to config.plist and I need some help to install below clover boot loader option correctly. Looks like Multibeast clover r4063 breaks the booting process.

Solution : Use Multibeast El Capitan 8.2.3 and run boot loader version r3423 to get the right boot loader loaded to ssd.

2. Fixing Intel HD 530 graphics [Solved]

I tried to install the HD 5xx from Multibeast Sierra 9.1.0 and Intel HD 530 from Multibeast El Capitan 8.2.3 but both doesn't help to update the Graphics correctly to HD 530 in about this Mac. Currently acceleration doesn't work I think as I'm unable to see the magnification works in dock.

Also tried adding snipper to config.plist + Lilu and IntelGraphicsFixUp kexts described here and didn't work as well.

Solution : Add Lilu and IntelGraphicsFixUp kexts described here to /EFI/CLOVER/kext/Other and also to desktop and ran kext beast

Load config.plist in to Clover Configurator ver 4.33.0 and tick Inject Intel and add 0x19120000 for ig-platform-id

Other settings in clover configurator

SMBIOS 14,2

ACPI :tick FixHDA only
Boot : Tick nv_disable=1 and dart=0

3. Installing audio driver [Solved]

Didn't try yet to install the audio driver for Realtek® ALC887 8-Channel High Definition Audio and will be following this guide section;

Solution : Download and run the audio_cloverALC-120_v1.0f3.command in terminal

PS:
Generated ssdt.aml using this guide.

Dual monitor and sleep/wake support

Bought Zotac GT 710 for ~50usd and native Nvidia drivers in Sierra 10.12.5 worked charmly.

  • Use smbios 14,2 for simplicity as 17,1 need additional steps.
  • Untick nv_disable=1 and tick nvda_drv=1
  • Untick Inject Intel optionally just leave ig-platform-id as 0x19120000
Result:
Dual monitors are working great using hdmi and DVI ports. Sleep/Wake works well too.

How'd you go with this? I'm looking to get this mobo for a cheap new hack for work.. would you recommend it?
All 3 issues fixed. I will update the OP. Recommended as a very cheap build except sleep/wake and proper dual monitor support.

Gonna buy a GT710 to get dual monitor and sleep/wake function.

Hi, how did you do to make the dual monitors working with your graphic card? I got the Gigabyte GT 710 which has one DVI and one HMDI same as yours, the system info shows two monitors but the HDMI one actually is black screen.

My smbios is 14,2 and i tried untick_disable=1 and tick nvda_drv=1, but still no luck. Don't know what i missed.
