Nothing to do... Same problem. I tried with another USB3 HDD (completely different form the first one - a WD vs Toshiba). Same problem, but only when I plug them on USB3 ports. If I attach them on USB2 port, I have no problem. Also, if I connect usb2 devices on usb3 ports, no problem. It seems just like a compatibility between usb3 ports and usb3 devices. Anyway it is not a big problem for me. It is like a touching up matter :)

I never keep USB storage devices plugged in across sleep in the first place (seems dangerous), so I may have the same issue, but haven't noticed.

Maybe it is specific to the device you're using. Try a different USB3 device...

It should be applied automatically, but you could also try -gux_no_idle.

Also,

Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: HP ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

I tried with other devices. A Behringer midi keyboard has no problem. With a studiologic midi keyboard, I have the same problem... It is very strange. Tried with -gux_no_idle ... No success
This problem is when I use battery. If I plug the ac power supply, everything works ok and the pc sleeps normally

As regards my profile. I updated it. Anyway

System: Lenovo G580 - 2189
CPU: i5-3230M/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Thanks

Hi,

I've followed the guide and red the whole thread (thanks themaskofwraith and RehabMan) and now I have almost everything working.
The only issue I have is that external mic is not working. My laptop has one jack to connect headphones with mic but "External input" does not show up in sound preferences.

Thanks for your help

EDIT: Solved! Using RehabMan's Audio Layout 12 DSDT patch + this kext : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/216-applehda-for-codec-conexant-20590-1092-13c64/

EDIT 2: Better solution: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks-laptop-support/114648-combined-u310-u410-mavericks-thread.html . Check Audio section.

I just found another problem. Webcam isn't working.
I remember it used to work when I first installed the system. Then I follow this guide, applied a bunch of DSDTs and the GenericUSBXHCI RehabMan mentioned.
Any idea on how to solve this?
