Thank you for your guide, it helped me a lot

The machine that I have is Dell 5547 i7
the screen is 1920x1080, touch display

Wifi is Intel(not Dell so wifi is is not working)

the ethernet and graphics is working(no nasty menu bar glitches ) - I am using your drivers

VoodoHDA didn't work in the beginning, I installed VoodooHDA from sf.net
using Installer and I have working sound now.
it seems the HDADisabler.kext was needed to make sound working on my machine
You can see the kext output from my machine

the touchpad driver was working a bit too fast( I didn't investigate how to make 2 finger swiping slower)
so I replaced it with @RehabMan 's driver which make swiping work well

How is your progress on PM?
Does the external display work with your laptop?

My external video is working (27' monitor). But I have no HDMI audio.
As for PM, still have that awaking from sleep problem.

Hi, it is a good news that your Dell is working with external video
How did you do it?
When I connect the external display nothing happens
Just the internal display turns black and Sierra goes into the freeze mode
Could you share your clover folder please?

Just curious if any of you have gotten high sierra work on this laptop? I have spent 2 days trying to get the video to work properly and it shows in system report that it's in. but zero acceleration.. In sierra it was cake. And during boot i would get a quick flast of like 4 apple logo's stretched out, which i assume was the driver loading. this i get nothing and just flickering and tearing.

Sorry no log or anything was just curious if anyone got HS to work?

Ah.. actually i just noticed "No Kext Extension loaded" in the system report... so thats not great.. need to figure why i have them in efi and S/L/E..

Yeah.. sorry.. just frustrated as hell... About 10 seconds later of course i found a video guy posted his kexts and plist and it started workng.. crazy artifacting but closer.. No idea why this gave me such a hard time.. sorry bout posting out of the proper format.. love you guys.
