@daigosx Thank you for your EFI configuration file, I have installed the latest BIg Sur11.5.2 on my z40-70! The serial number is 0, icloud cannot be used! Everything else works perfectly! Hope you have time to update to OC 7.2 version!

Update time!
OC 0.7.4
Works with BigSur and is Monterey ready.
SystemProductName changed to MacBookPro11,5 you'll have to regenerate your NVRAM->PlatformInfo

Download the latest OCBinaryData if you want a working OpenCanopy GUI

Disconnect your apple id before you upgrade the EFI

Have fun

Awesome!

Just update Open core with your zip, and SMBIOS?
Or need to take any further steps?

I'm generating SMBIOS from here but all serial numbers are invalid if I check here .
Should I choose invalid Serial number or keep searching for valid serial number?
Invalid serial numbers are fine.

Proper steps:
  1. Disconnect your apple ID (you can reconnect after the update)
  2. Put my EFI on an USB
  3. Add SMBIOS info to the config.plist
  4. Start from USB
  5. Check everything is ok
  6. Put the new EFI on your HDD/SDD
  7. Start from HDD/SDD
  8. System update
  9. Wait (about 1 hour and some reboots)
  10. Enjoy
