[Guide] Lenovo Z50-70/Z40-70/G50-70/G40-70 using Clover UEFI

You clearly didn’t follow the guide. You can’t expect help here unless you follow the guide (as written). You have made a lot of mess that’s not worth recovering. Best to start over, erase your drive, perform a clean install, then follow the guide in post #1 as written. The terminal commands in post #1 will ensure that only the kexts that are necessary are installed.
Yes, really I followed a half of the guide. I want to perform a clean install, but the pen don`t enter in the install to erase the disc.

I don’t know what you mean by "the pen don`t enter in the install to erase the disc". Instructions regarding macOS installation USB creation are linked in post #1.

I can't Format my HD to perform a clean installation. In the first time I did with the installation pendrive, but now I can't.

In the Clover menu, I select "External" and nothing happens...Freezes on a Apple screen
It means you didn’t follow RehabMan’s Clover guide. Please recreate your USB drive based on RehabMan’s instructions in his Clover guide linked in post #1.

Dear The-Braveknight and Rehabman and others,

First of all, thanks for making this guide and taking the time to help and support others! I've installed OS X a couple of times on different machines but I always had a bit of trouble. Anyways, with your guide it seems to be working almost perfect. There are only a couple of hiccups and I'd appreciate it if you could maybe look at my files with me.

On the first boot the screen is 'garbled'. I know of the problems with haswell and in an earlier installation I had to manually inject the EDID information. I figured that with your guide this would be patched automatically, so I am thinking that I might have done something wrong.

(edit; The current workaround is turning off the disply by holding the power button a couple of seconds. When I turn it back on everything is fine. It just takes a couple of seconds)

Second, the first boot hangs at the BCM2045a0. It times out about 3 times before the boot continues. I swapped the previous Wifi card that was in this model with a Dell DW1830 and defeated the whitelist. Do you maybe see what the problem could be?
I also have a problem with this card in that the Wifi takes a long time to turn back on after sleep. I followed your guide and disabled 'wake for network access' but this did not seem to help.

I hope you could take the time to take a look!

p.s. I tried to follow the guide very carefully. I am not sure if I installed Clover correctly to the SSD. I re-used the config_install.plist from the repo and also re-used all the kexts and .efi files that were required while making the first USB stick. I was not able to boot from the SSD after installing clover until I had also done the Terminal patches.

Garbled screen is fixed with correct BIOS settings. Make sure CSM/legacy boot is enabled.

Thank you for your reply!

I've checked my BIOS and legacy boot is enabled, so this seems strange. I've also included the preboot.log, as I now see that I had forgotten this earlier.

Make sure "fast boot" is disabled.
