Thanks Jessers123, I'm following up your tutorial to upgrade from 10.11 to 10.12 but my screen freezes at
"imageboot_setup_new: container image url is file://macOS%20Install%20Data/InstallESD.dmg" - any ideas? This is not a fresh install, just an upgrade. I used your El Capitan tutorial to get 10.11 now I just want to upgrade to 10.12

Thanks!

Make sure Clover is new enough for 10.12 and that your EFI/Clover/kexts is correct. Also, make sure your kexts are up-to-date.

I did check and everything is up to date. Any other solutions?

Let's see your current situation...

Attach ioreg as ZIP: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

Provide output (in Terminal):
Code:
kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu
kextstat|grep -y applelpc
kextstat|grep -y applehda

Attach EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (press F4 at main Clover screen before collecting). Please eliminate 'themes' directory. Provide only EFI/Clover, not the entire EFI folder.

Attach output of (in Terminal):

See attached... I do have your FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Broadcom_WiFi.kext installed - could that be the issue?

Thanks!

You have way too much garbage in drivers64UEFI.
And Clover/kexts is not per guide.
Refer to guide: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-booting-the-os-x-installer-on-laptops-with-clover.148093/

Also, ACPI is not patched correctly.
https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/guide-patching-laptop-dsdt-ssdts.152573/

You have not provided any details on anything identifiable as "the issue".

System was updated to 10.12.3. Everything works fine.

For now i just updated the kext to the newest and stayed with el capitan while it is working perfectly. Are there any issues with Sierra? or notacible updates worth upgrading on this laptop?

I see that after newest voodoo kext update i have some three finger gestures on my touchpad - with three fingers swipe i can change tabs in chrome(sadly i use safari which doesn't support this) swipe down on the desktop open new finder window, unfortunately three finger drag doesn't work... is there any list with gestures?

Also discovered PrtSc button disable touchpad, after you click it again it works again.

Installed Sierra. The only thing that i needed to patch was bcm94352.

Seems a little bit slower and system thinks longer after start, but no other issues for me so far.

You did not follow the guide...

Follow the Clover guide linked from the FAQ.

http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...faq-read-first-laptop-frequent-questions.html

Hi. I have the same exact problem, it stucks on "container image url is file:/..." and it can stay there forever.

You said dadooo did not follow the guide but what is additional step after downloading EFI.zip from attached link, copying it to CLOVER EFI folder and changing one of the config file to match config.plist? I should build my own Clover?
