[Guide] Lenovo Y50/Y70 (UHD or 1080p) using Clover UEFI

Status
Not open for further replies.
Post EFI/Clover folder. Boot verbose, show photo.

Also:
- check USB settings in BIOS
- try using the injector USBXHCI_y50.kext
- try rename EHCx->EH0x (see BRIX repo for patches in config.plist/ACPI/DSDT/Patches)

USB will cause problems for installation, and since everything is not setup during installation (DSDT patches, injector, etc.), additional tweaks may have to be made.

On my u430, I use a USB3 stick in (the only) USB3 port because that is the only port working without the full complement of patches.

My guess is most people here with success have done an upgrade from 10.10, and have not attempted to see what is needed to boot the installer from USB.

I have found a config.plist file in my virtual os x and finally i get the installation screen with verbose mode, but its not as seems well as need to be:

I tried to compare the config.plist files, but i'm newbie in this "mackintosh world" so i can't figure out the problem.
I upload config.plist files which i found on my virtual os x:
View attachment config.plist

And this is which i downloaded from your post (hd4600):

This is not the current version from my repo.

Your profile does not indicate screen resolution...

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Incorrect edits in a text editor corrupted the file. It is no longer valid plist.

Code:
Speedy-OSX:Downloads RehabMan$ plutil -lint config.plist
config.plist: Encountered unexpected character c on line 124 while looking for open tag

Seems obvious:

ohh, thanks.

In the end f my suffer i "copy everything to everywhere", and i tried to do everything what u suggest. Thats why i thought the problem is config.plist.
The usbxhci injector was the solution, so thank you once again. :)

So, to clarify... you copied USBXHCI_y50.kext to EFI/Clover/kexts/Other in order to get a USB port working for install...
