And does not let me update to 10.11
See Pic

Refer to post #1, "Known Issues", "Audio" for audio instructions. Otherwise, see post #1, "Problem Reporting".

No idea without details on what you're doing... and EFI/Clover folder in use.

I think I'll just do a fresh El Capitan install.

I saw that El Capitan has some USB problems and that some laptops need to pe patched and some dont.

Does the Y50 need the patch ?
Did you apply any other patches for El Capitan ?
What happens if I dont apply the USB patch for El Capitan ? Some USB ports don't work or what ?

Also, can I update directly from App Store ?

USB problems are already solved by the kexts installed by the scripts used in this guide.

Hello!

I'm writing to You, because i have some problems.

Earlier i created an usb installer with Yosemite with Your guide successfully, but unfortunately i have sucked with El Captain.
I have tried some suggestion as i read in previous posts, but there is the same issue.
Here is my screen:

File 2015. 10. 06. 1 46 04.jpg

and my CLOVER folder on usb:

I use the same laptop, the same usb and the same instructions of course. :)

Thank you for your reply. :)

Kext folder is not set up correctly. Many folders in there, more than 1 has kexts. You did not follow the guide

No hardware details... not possible to analyze EFI/Clover for correctness.

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

System: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

In the first time the kext folder contains just only the 'Others' and this contains the kexts once.
im just tried to do everything, and when im upload, i forget to delete those, sorry.

Hello, can anyone share el capitan hackintosh tutorial for y50 1080? sorry, i'm newbie here. this is my 1st post in this thread...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ok so I finally made it work on 10.10.5.

The md5 is still wrong but it worked perfectly like before so I don't really care.

I downloaded the El Capitan Update and I see that it creates something like a virtual drive that's not present in disk utility.

I am trying to boot into the El Capitan upgrade drive with the usb stick (since it has intel injection turned off).

I succesfully boot into it but after I select the Yosemite HD it says that it can't unmount the drive for repair.

I also tried with the SIP RtVariables and still no luck.

I can boot normally in Yosemite, the drive needs no repair.

So how can I upgrade to El Capitan ?
