Disk util to format it to macos extended.
Put EFI folder in EFI partition of USB drive.
Yes same laptop (t440s)

I am not sure if formatting with a disk utility creates a bootable flash drive.
I suggest a reliable, proven method.
Download the Mojave installation file from AppStore.
And create an installation disk.
(We only need an EFI partition.)
Create it with a command in the terminal:
Bash:
sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Mojave.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume
Replace MyVolume in these commands with the name of your volume.
And only then copy EFI to the created flash drive.
If you have exactly the same laptop model you don't need to change anything in the config or other settings.
Copy it "as is".
And try to boot.

I only found Big Sur on AppStore. Downloaded it and created installation disk, then mounted EFI partition and put EFI folder from github.
I still can't boot USB drive.

I'll try with another USB drive, but I used this one to install Big Sur in another hack last month without any issues...

Reboot only? Not another error?
Stupid solutions - try another usb-port )))

Do you have recommended settings from github?
What BIOS? UEFI or Legacy?

Another idea to check.
Copy Mojave EFI (Clover) to usb and try to boot.
If it's successful, it's a problem with the OS settings.

Well, i just realized I put EFI content directly in EFI partition, not in EFI/EFI/...
It boots now
Thanks for your help

O! Coz, not efi/efi
Only root )))
Mojave boot from OC now?

Big sur installation drive boots, I'm trying to update

ok. Post result, pls.

Installation ends after some reboots as usual, but now when I try to boot macos from opencore (still from USB), progress bar starts at 90%, and then at 100% computer reboots.
If I start with Clover, it get stuck on apple logo.
