Dual boot can be easily set upHi, I own a y520 laptop and wants to install hackintosh on it.
I need Windows to work, so a dual-boot option would be great.
Can I use the GTX display card if i am using High Sierra?
And since the capacity of the SSD is low I want to add a HDD. Possible?
Not sure about the dGPU and High Sierra, if I had to guess I’d say its not possible. Y520 uses Nvidia Optimus which will probably never be supported under macOS.
Adding a HDD shouldn’t be an issue, be aware that Y520 has a single m.2 slot and a single sata slot for storage.
Note: With this guide the dGPU is disabled under macOS to save battery, but is completely functional on Windows when dual booting.
