then you have no other option but to try with the older efi at my repo. It is set up for CFG LOCK. Try it and then tell me the problem with details.

i have exact same version but still cant get to advanced settings menu on bios..
are you sure you are not missing some small step? )
more then 4 hours of digging.. (tried fn + asdfgh then O then F10 etc.. and your suggestion.. still no luck..)

I dont know what to say to you... i tried it again and it works


1. Power off the laptop.
2. Power button to turn on
3. F2 to enter the normal BIOS
4. Power button to turn off
5. immediately , with the power off, press the following keys in sequence:

F1 → 1 → Q → A → Z

F2 → 2 → W → S → X

F3 → 3 → E → D → C

F4 → 4 → R → F → V

F5 → 5 → T → G → B

F6 → 6 → Y → H → N

6. Turn on the power button
7. press F2 to enter the hidden BIOS (if unsuccessful, please speed up your hand and try again)

by the way, no cfg-lock version does not work on me also..

was dw1820a installed from beginning? or after you installed catalina and replaced the original wifi with dw1820a?

and one more thing..
which disk did you installed catalina? the one comes with laptop or the second you added?

i found the cfg-lock is at 0x3E in bios rom file (i extracted it ), and i will try setup_var3

1. be more detailed . What exactly is the problem?
2. When I bought the laptop, I also bought a second nvme. I installed manjaro linux on that. On the original system disk I installed mojave first, after one week I deleted It and installed Catalina. The dw1820a arrived after one month.
3. Be careful with the bios .... I will try to upload a screenshot in a few hours.

by the way , i am using hackintosh computers more then 15 years i had many desktop and laptops. current desktop is z370 aorus 5 with rx580 , 32gb ram, 1tb nvme

I dont question your experience. I go back around 13 years. My first hackintosh was an Asus eeepc with an atom CPU and leopard.

on this laptop, the key combination you mentioned is not working for me..

It is very very strange. You are the first one....

1- the key combination does not work for me. so i used nocfg config of you. i used unibeast and installed 10.15.4, then replaced the EFI with yours.. when i boot with it, many messages appears (which i can not read, it is too fast), then laptop reboots suddenly.

Its importand to see why. Did you select "no reboot on KP"?

when i only use your kexts and config.plist (replaced the files on original unibeast efi folder), still the same..
if i use https://github.com/marianopela/Lenovo-Ideapad-S540-14IML-Hackintosh EFI folder. it gets to setup screen. but when i try to format the disk with disk utility the laptop reboots suddenly (or if i want 1-2 minute).
marianopela have opencore efi folder but, it hangs after 7-8 lines of display.

This method is completely wrong since the every config.plist depends on the specific DSDT and SSDTs of
every system.
i.e. if you have a different bios than me, you will have a lot of ACPI errors and perhaps no even boot, when you use my ACPI/patched folder. At the same time if you do not use it but only use my config.plist you will have problems because the configuration of my config.plist depended on my ACPI/patched folder.


6. Please check you touchpad . Which device is it.

7. If you are on bios 2.05 try this EFI and please capture with your phone photos of your boot with the latest CFG LOCKED EFI and this EFI and upload .
