No now i,m version 75 , eeprom chil this laptop is protect , with my new way can active intell 5500 in any bios version

Ti this week publick this wat for you .

Please share your experience!. I just bought a new Lenovo G50-80, BIOS is already 69 (B0CN69WW), so I can hardly wait to see your description. Thx

Hi all there. I followed the first post (Vanluu's), made the USB installer, but simply cannot boot from it. I tried to set in BIOS both Legacy and UEFI mode, but without any luck. (Perhaps the problem is that I cannot interpret the 2nd step: "work OOB w/o any configurations")
Please give me a hint what to look for.
(I created the El Capitan USB installer and than added Clover and then added the kext's described in the post.)
Thx for all advises!

Hi again
Sorry my english language not good !

Now Today , work my graphic card and macintosh el capitan prefect

For increase dvmt memory , just create backup of your bios via hardware programmer device and moding your bios (read bios with .bin extension)

For moding your bios file get help from this forum :

https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/

Create a unlock request post in this forum , after moding your bios , you should rewrite again to bios chip via hardware programmer device .

After moding your bios , enable advanced tab in the bios setting , now increase dvmt with dvmt setting option .

This is my unlock request post in this forum :

Read my post curfuly , sorry my english language not good .

Thanks,bye !

My Installer boots now, but after a certain time it simply restarts and starts from beginning... As I didn't patch dvmt, I'm pretty sure this could be the problem. Both Windows 8.1 and 10 report DVMT to be 128 MB. You wrote that this is most probably inaccrate. Before deciding wether to start with BIOS hack (for me it seems that nobody accomplished it with higher BIOS version without direct eeprom programming), I would like to check DVMT. Can somebody tell me a tool, which can tell me accurate values. Live Linux / Windows programs are both OK. Thanks.

Definitely inaccurate.

Before deciding wether to start with BIOS hack (for me it seems that nobody accomplished it with higher BIOS version without direct eeprom programming), I would like to check DVMT. Can somebody tell me a tool, which can tell me accurate values. Live Linux / Windows programs are both OK. Thanks.

You can use the UEFI shell and setup_var to query the variable value.

(After successful parsing my BIOS file and founding the DVMT variable) I checked with 'setup_var' what is the actual value now. Indeed my DVMT is on the default 32 MB setting :( Then I tried to modify it, but my BIOS doesn't allow it. As far as I understoud without external EEPROM programming, the only approach which remains is to:
"Apply the patch to pass the Stolen Memory assertion. We need to patch AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer binary file."
(from this link: http://www.tonymacx86.com/yosemite-...hd-graphics-5500-os-x-yosemite-10-10-3-a.html)
First: I cannot find this file on the install bootable. So I assume I would need this only later, AFTER install. Am I right? If not where should I look for it? (I made an El Capitan install on my USB and I have my clover boot partition too.)
On the other hand, if this is not the problem, what could cause me that during install my laptop simply restarts (and wants to start again from the begin.) Here is my screenshot just before restart:

i,m getting this error before flashing bios via eeprom programmer
after programm my flash , dvmt setting enabled in the my bios setting and change value to 96MB

Now Work All Prefect !

The patch for 10.10.x will not work for 10.11.

See guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...de-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover.html

The patch is in the plist files linked from the guide (separate patch for 10.11 vs. 10.10). They are both disabled. Read post #2 for details on disabled patches.

I enabled now the patch "AppleIntelBDWGraphicsFramebuffer" (minStolenSize less or equal fStolenMemorySize assertion, 10.11.beta ( (based on Austere.J patch)) and tried also to enable this in a second trial: IOGraphicsFamily (Boot graphics glitch, 10.10.x/10.11.x (credit lisai9093, cecekpawon)).
Unfortunately the result for both cases is the same as before.
I used and modified this plist:
View attachment config_HD5300_5500_5600_6000.plist
So this is now on my usb (the previous plist with the 2 modifications)
View attachment config.plist

Is this OK so? Can I try anything else?

(In all other aspects my USB have been done with RehabMan's guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...de-booting-os-x-installer-laptops-clover.html)
