I was trying to follow the guides listed here like for example adding the Clover Efi. But it seems like all of this can be done using a mac. Is there a guide we can use to accomplish all that using Windows?

You need a Mac or working hack to download Yosemite from the Mac App Store. When you're doing that, use the same Mac/hack to create your USB installer.

Windows does not provide access to the Mac App Store.

There is an alternative but it is more difficult. Easy way is to borrow a Mac from someone you know that has one.

The alternative is to purchase a Snow Leopard DVD direct from Apple. Then install SL on your computer (or another computer) and get it working well enough to update to 10.6.8 with built-in Ethernet working so you can access the Mac App Store, download Yosemite, and prepare your USB installer.

Does anyone have the sleep mode working? Tried a few patches and whatnot but can't seem to figure it out. (Goes into sleep mode then restarts shortly after.) Also, HDMI audio doesn't work. Although, haven't tried patches for that. Lost all hope on patching the brightness key functionality.

Download patchmatic: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-maciasl-patchmatic/downloads/RehabMan-patchmatic-2015-0107.zip
Extract the 'patchmatic' binary from the ZIP. Copy it to /usr/bin, such that you have the binary at /usr/bin/patchmatic.

In terminal,
Code:
rm -R ~/Downloads/RehabMan
mkdir ~/Downloads/RehabMan
cd ~/Downloads/RehabMan
patchmatic -extract

Post contents of Downloads/RehabMan directory (as ZIP).

Also, post ioreg: http://www.tonymacx86.com/audio/58368-guide-how-make-copy-ioreg.html. Please, use the IORegistryExplorer v2.1 attached to the post! DO NOT reply with an ioreg from any other version of IORegistryExplorer.app.

And output from:
Code:
kextstat|grep -y acpiplat
kextstat|grep -y appleintelcpu

It would wake but the brightness would be all the way down. Tested the USB WIFI and works fine without it. Plugged it back in and works just fine. I feel so dumb. Thanks, I'll try restarting.
