I'll double check and start from scratch. I'm fairly new to disassembling DSDTs and using MacIASL so the the guides can be all little advanced as I'm not familiar with all the terms.

I've tried using EFI mounter v2 and terminal but I get "doesn't exist" errors. So I end up reinstalling Clover to access the DSDTs. Hopefully that's not the issue.
There are many ways to mount EFI (enable debug menu in Disk Utility, from Terminal, using Clover Configurator, etc.)

First check your EFI partition: In terminal aplication type: diskutil list and locate your system drive's EFI partition. If is in place use Clover Configurator to mount it.

Did a fresh install got the mounting to work fixed the errors. Apparently I wasn't using ACPI 5.0. Had everything working except WIFI and brightness control. Then, I went to check my HDMI port, worked fine but then my mouse/trackpad stopped working (started freaking out again). Having a really hard time getting it to wok now. I tried installing the VoodooPS2 kext multiple ways... No luck.

ended up using ELAN trackpad kext and seemed to do the job. Not perfect (buttons on the mousepad dont work correctly so I just use the trackpad for all clicking features) but I rarely use the buttons anyway. Found out I needed the firewall on to access app store, imessage and icloud. Everything seems to work great just dont have the keyboard control over the backlight (probably due to the ELAN keyboard kext settings). Great guide for lenovo g50 users.

Hi Katar,

The HDMI video works OK. The HDMI audio not tested.
Regarding the Wireless Lan, I'm using a USB stick (Easy and cheap solution.)

Hi I'm completely new to this hackintosh stuff but I'll soon follow your guide, but before I even start I just want to make sure on something.

First of all thanks atrusplus for the guide and Rehabman for all the support he gave.

I have G50-70 with Intel i5-4210U with Intel HD 4400 Graphics.
I have a SSD installed with Windows 7 installed.

I purchased a 240GB USB SSD (Pocket SSD)
http://www.amazon.com/VisionTek-240GB-Pocket-Drive-900719/dp/B00O0NV570/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1430495824&sr=8-1&keywords=visiontek+usb+pocket+ssd+240gb

Basically I want to install the Mac on the USB Pocket SSD while my main SSD remains as Windows. Is there anything special I need to do to install on the USB SSD or should this guide in the Opening Post work for me?

Thanks

Using an SSD over USB seems counterproductive (USB=slow, SSD=fast).

You'll have to tweak the guide as required (not to mention booting to the USB via BIOS options). And you'll need USB working from the start... (not always the case).

Hmm.. Well is there a way to install the Mac on my existing SSD without destroying my Windows install and I guess dual-boot it.
