I have the backlight slider in SysPreps/Display but it is not functioning.
Brightness is working at max. I need your help Rehabman. I have the files you need included here.
Thank you in advance.

It is likely your system does not use the IGPU PWM for backlight control, therefore it is not compatible with Apple's AppleBacklight.kext.

So you're telling me I'm gonna live with full brightness all my life...

You should try ACPIBacklight.kext + appropriate ACPI patch ("Brightness Fix (ACPI 100)") + Brightness by bergdesign.

I mean I hope your suggestion would work so I would not have to go back to AppleBacklight.kext, which is still a problem for me right?

AppleBacklight.kext requires your hardware to use the IGPU PWM registers. If it does not, you have my other suggestion.
