I'm currently struggling with random freezes on my NUC8i7BEH running Cat 10.15.6 with the OC 0.5.9 from Page #90

Is anyone here facing the same problem or can anyone tell me why these freezes appear and how to fix that?
I had this problem. Try removing ssdt rtc0 and installing ssdt-awac

Finally got sidecar working (with usb cable and enabling Hand off on the ipad) !.. (Nuc8i7/ipad)
thank you (I needed to activate two-factor authentication..) been searching for a long time for that.

Small issue my mac seems not to go to sleep while my usb hub is connected on front left usb .. anyone got a suggestion ? Thanks
What model do you have? Sleep will not work properly if the USB ports aren't configured properly. The EFI folders I've posted only work well with the i5, the i7 ports are different and so need reconfiguring. There is an excellent guide that explains how to do it that I have posted in this forum about 100 times. Here it is: https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/the-new-beginners-guide-to-usb-port-configuration.286553/

Hey guys,

So much great info in this thread that has helped tremendously. Thanks so much!

I think I've fixed almost all my problems except two that I can't figure out. Using a NUC8i3BEH

1. Crackling audio ONLY when booting up and shutting down. It only lasts 3 seconds or so but can be very loud if I was listening to music on my speaker prior to shutting down so it does get kind of annoying. I've tried all the layout IDs for the ALC235 chip to no avail. 28 and 14 seem to work fine apart from that crackling on booting up. Using the front AUX port. I've seen a lot of posts about crackling audio all the time (fix seems to be to put almost all kexts into L/E) but I didn't come across any specifically for crackling when booting up/shutting down - is it the same fix?

2. There seems to be some interference with my bluetooth keyboard (Dell bluetooth receiver plugged into the NUC). It seems like when there are devices connected (or even paired but inactive) to the Bluetooth of the Mac, I get significant lag/delay/stuttering/missing key clicks. Not sure if there's a fix for this but I've since unpaired all bluetooth devices and it seems like it's much better. I'm thinking of just disabling Bluetooth if that's possible (something I'd need to research) unless there's a fix for this.

Thanks!

EDIT: I managed to figure out a workaround for my crackling audio issue. I switched to using HDMI audio (AUX into monitor) and used soundflowerbed to control the volume. No crackling on boot or shutdown - definitely a good alternative.

Interference has been minimal since unpairing bluetooth devices so this Hackintosh is almost 100% usable now!

What bootloader are you using? Most users who had that issue fixed it by changing the audio device ID to 28. If you are using a bluetooth dongle make sure to turn off the internal BT/Wireless in the bios. You can also throw away the dongle and enable the internal card using the attached kext.

I'm using Clover. Yep I was on device ID 28 but it seemed to have crackling sounds when booting/shutting down still (when using the headphone jack). The HDMI audio alternative is working well

I will try the IntelBluetooth firmware kext tonight - thank you. Just a question though - my starting batch of kexts was actually from a youtube video and I compared the kexts I have against yours from page 90. The key ones that are different are that I have FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext. I do also have AppleALC/Lilu so should I delete the two FakePCIID kexts?

Also, I don't have the SMCProcessor and SMCSuperIO kexts but I'm not sure if those matter much.

Thanks so much!
