last question, looking to tidy up my config.plist and I see this when trying to look up WhateverGreen / framebuffer patching guides.

Any way I can adapt my old config to the new style? Everything does seem to be working OK once booted into macOS, but upon boot display will be black for a while (monitor says no signal) and sometimes I need to plug my NUC into a different HDMI port to get the display working...

Android,
Guys, I bought a basic 4k monitor (a $500 27" Dell UltraSharp). Man, it looks gorgeous, fonts are nearly as crisp and handsome as on my MBP.

The issue is... when I boot up, the bitten apple logo disappears and then the display starts showing coloured noise like old analog TVs when they lose signal. Disconnecting the HDMI and connecting it back again solves issue. What could be the culprit here?
Nevermind, updated to the clover config from post#894 hereof, the screen turned pink. Fixed that by applying the HiDPI patch.

Good day everyone,

just a small update:
I'm now on the 10.14.5 supplemental update. The bios 81 update is running on my Nuc7i5BNK. I still get the message, that the Mac was shutdown due to an error. The system itself is stable, it ran for almost 2 days in a row while downloading the photo and iCloud data. I also added the CPU speed for my system as suggested in Post #2677.

Has someone a workaround for the error message? Thanks in advance.

Greetings
schlotterp

Hi Leesureone!

I am getting very close to perfect NUC7i7DNHE. One problem: I can get bluetooth to work for a short while using DW1820A (I have 0VW3T3 and 96JNT versions), but after a reboot or shutdown the BlueTooth will not work normally anymore.

I think RehabMan's initial release is outdated and want to move to use OpenCore with this hackintosh instead. I want to use your OpenCore starter files from your amazing post. What else can I adapt from old Clover config into new OpenCore to make sure everything still works?
Aga
last question, looking to tidy up my config.plist and I see this when trying to look up WhateverGreen / framebuffer patching guides.

Any way I can adapt my old config to the new style? Everything does seem to be working OK once booted into macOS, but upon boot display will be black for a while (monitor says no signal) and sometimes I need to plug my NUC into a different HDMI port to get the display working...
So as the post on page 90 mentions I'm looking for some help testing this version. I'm not 100% sure its ready for prime time and besides that for you its unlikely to fix your bluetooth issues just because you are switching over to a different boot loader. I don't have the kexts needed for bluetooth or wireless included in it so there is that.

As far as graphics go I was having the same issue but with sleep. The display wouldn't wake back up so after some research I used one of the two device IDs recommended by the OpenCore Vanilla Guide for Laptops, which an NUC is more like than a real desktop. You can either edit your config.plist to match your existing or send me yours and I'll edit it for you. You can copy and paste if you use Xcode or Proper Tree. Make a backup copy first or make sure your boot drive is still working.

Did you update your bios and HDMI firmware? That seemed to help me but I tried so many things I'm not sure it wasn't a combination of changes. I'd try that first and then see about changing the config.plist if needed (maybe you already have).

If you want to get your wireless and bluetooth working the config.plist will also need to be amended to include the extra kexts and you will need to swap out the USB-UIAC.SSDT to your version to get the internal headers working. Personally I'd get a different card that works natively.

I heard there were reports on 10.15.4 crashing, even on real Macs, which I think is why the the supplemental update was issued. I've not had that problem yet but it looks to be graphics related but I am guessing, it is similar to the crashes reported before the update was issued though.

Also I suggested to not set the CPU speed and let native power management throttle it by need. Maybe that's what you were trying to say.

Nevermind, updated to the clover config from post#894 hereof, the screen turned pink. Fixed that by applying the HiDPI patch.
Hi I have the same issue! Where did you find the hidpi patch?

Good day,

then I misunderstood. I went into clover and entered the cpu speed, in my case 2200 MHz, by hand. I don’t know how you got that view in clover with the elements in a list/row or do you use another software for this?

Greetings

That screen shot is of Xcode displaying the contents of the config.plist. Works great for Clover edits
