I am in North America (United States). Is there a specific version of Clover Configurator that I should use or just the latest version I can find?
You shouldn't need it then because it works for me without.

Can you post your EFI folder? Out of curiosity you haven't used kext beast to install anything to the Library/ Extensions folder right?

I ran the latest version of Multibeast but I am not sure exactly what it did under the covers. There is a possibility that it did put stuff in the /Library/Extensions folder. Maybe I should just blow everything away and start over?

Watched a video on Clover Configurator, ran it, loaded up my config.plist, and I ran Generate Config and now everything works. Not sure what it changed but I am now a happy camper.

Given that the original post is not being maintained and drives users down the wrong path, should a new thread be started with the guidance that @Leesureone and others have been giving? I think it would be immensely useful!

Maybe, I thought about starting one but there are four or five on this site already and probably others on other sites. I think by virtue of activity people will probably still stop here, or the main thread Rehabman created, and get stuck. If I thought I could redirect everyone, like Rehabman was able to do when he updated the guide for Mojave, then that would be worth it. Anyway I agree with you and glad you got you machine sorted but I'm still on the fence about writing a separate guide.

I went back and forth for a year on doing a hackintosh, making lists of hardware, checking compatibility, sourcing parts. It's only when I found out the NUC was an option and read through the posts (especially this thread) that I decided to take the plunge. a clear guide to setup is a real service with tangible benefits....I don't know how much I can help to create an update (atleast I could swapout my ssd and test the instructions) but if there's anything that I can do to pay this forward, I'm in.

Before I start dredging through 48 pages of posts... I've been using the procedure in the OP and I'm having problems booting the install. Should I not be doing that and use something else instead.

My config is:
  • NUC 8i7BEH
  • 16gb of Corsair vengeance DDR4-2400
  • Crucial SATA SSD
I'm using the procedure, kexts, drivers and install config.plist from the OP.

Some of the issues I see are show in the attached screenshot from the boot.

Any guidance would be awesome.

See post 430 in this thread. It trys to explain the issues you are having and how to get past them.

I can install now. Thanks. Funny how having the right parts makes things work. :)

When I boot the system after install, it complains that the drive isn't bootable. I'm assuming that's because I haven't put the new clover stuff on it. What do I need to do that?
