Well that s

Well, that sucks. Here is bios version 66 but if you were running 56 before this probably will fail to boot just like 71. Its a documented issue. Try it and see.

Meanwhile if you update the config.plist on your USB drive with the following DSDT patch shown in the Clover Configurator screen shot (the last line) it should boot regardless of the bios version, you can stay on 71. You could just try my config.plist on your USB drive. It should boot and allow you access to your hard drive EFI folder config.plist for editing.

If you are using a text editor it looks like this, it goes in ACPI/DSDT/ Patches as a new entry.

<dict>
<key>Comment</key>
<string>Fix NUC BIOS DSDT Device(RTC)</string>
<key>Disabled</key>
<false/>
<key>Find</key>
<data>oAqTU1RBUwE=</data>
<key>Replace</key>
<data>oAqRCv8L//8=</data>
</dict>
Thanks buddy, I'll try the 66 bios file and report back. Meantime I found a USB install stick that already had your config.plist on it & a newer version of clover and so yes I've managed to get to my OSX desktop will modify the EFI folder config.plist as you suggest. Thanks for all your, help much appreciated.

So just tried Bios 66 this morning and the result is as expected. Cant downgrade to that either, so looks like I'm stuck on Bios 71 till a future update may fix it. Will be interesting to see if any other users on here report the same experience. Previously I was easily able to downgrade from 61 to 44 and 61 to 56. Very weird.

That is a fine question and I wish I knew enough to answer it! There were comments in the fix that mentioned RTC but I don't know what about the Real Time Clock the patch is changing. Some kind of address?
There's only one way to find out...

Since you've upgraded to BIOS v71, can I ask you for a favor? In Clover boot screen, can you please dump DSDT/SSDT tables via F4 on keyboard, and pack them all from EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/origin/* in a ZIP file and share them? (this involves mounting EFI partition when you're safely on Desktop, obviously, but I am sure you know that :D ).

Then, I can try finding in each AML file (perhaps the DSDT.aml is to look for) the hex pattern of the search string "A00A9353 54415301", replace it via Hex Fiend.app with "A00A910A FF0BFFFF" and then decompile both original and patched (via iasl) to see the difference in a human form, and report back... What do you think @Leesureone ?

Anyone is very welcome to dump BIOS v71 and share, too!
Thank you in advance!

"Eject USB stick and restart computer. There should be just one Clover selection to boot macOS on your SSD, and voilà!"

Uhm, I followed to the best of my knowledge word for word the instructions to the end.:think:
After a clean boot, In my case there are 4 Clover selections. The most obvious one seems to be the 3rd option: "Boot macOS from SSD Int 500G" ('SSD Int 500G' being the name of my Samsung Evo 500G SSD).

But that results in a 'Hang'.

Can someone help me with this one?
b.t.w. I'm working with a Mojave 10.14.5 install

edit :

Never mind. Found the problem. Made a little mistake with downloading the wrong final config.plist.
After downloading modifying the right one ('config_nuc8_bc.plist' instead of 'config_install_nuc8_bc.plist') everything is fine now, and the NUC boots with one Clover option like it should and after that a beautiful mac login screen.
I'm happy... :mrgreen:

My intel NUC but I figure it out, just downloaded the latest clover version instead of the Rehabman Fork and it’s worked but Again stumbled on another issue, my nvme Ssd was not compatible it’s freeze the install « 970 Evo plus » just ordered an 970 pro, will installed it Tuesday or Thursday, but as far as for now the 0071 Bios seem to work with the patch in the Config.plist can’t wait to have it to finish my build.

Had the exact same issue when upgrading BIOS, just added this in your Config.plist
In the patch section, insert following section:
<dict>
<key>Comment</key>
<string>Fix NUC BIOS DSDT Device(RTC)</string>
<key>Disabled</key>
<false/>
<key>Find</key>
<data>
oAqTU1RBUwE=
</data>
<key>Replace</key>
<data>
oAqRCv8L//8=
</data>
</dict>

The power button trick and then hitting f4 at the menu is what has always worked for me. Some folks say they have to change the jumpier setting inside the machine and then it worked for them. Who knows why

4. press and hold power button until it turns from blue to orange, then release power button
5. wait for the bios recovery menu, press F4
