USB stick gives me identical beachball problem. Boot sticks at: ATHR unknown locale: 60.

I guess I will just stick with Yosemite for a while.
Boot verbose, show photo. Post EFI/Clover folder as ZIP (omit 'themes' folder).

Post #1977 says to use the Clover installer. Clover Configurator is not the Clover installer. It is completely unrelated to Clover. I don't use Clover Configurator for anything directly involving my EFI partition.
Thanks for answering my question, it didn't work though, but that doesn't matter really, got a new laptop from work and i got it working flawless after some time. If anyone else is slightly confused like me, i will share how i got my EliteBook 820 G2 to work properly.

As i understand it PBI-CE is not being maintained and therefore lacks the most recent versions of Clover EFI and IntelBacklight.kext, and in my case also did not install the VoodooHDA to make the sound work properly.

After having run the PBI, i installed the most recent version of clover: http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloverefiboot/ (the .pkg file)

Then i Installed the most recent version of IntelBacklight.kext: https://github.com/RehabMan/OS-X-Intel-Backlight via Kexwizard and rebuilt the cache

Then i rebooted (you could probably install VoodooHDA at this point, but i'm not sure)
and then i installed VoodooHDA: http://sourceforge.net/projects/voodoohda/files/?source=navbar (i used v. 2.8.8) then i rebuilt the cache once again with Kexwizard and rebooted. (step #14 did nothing for me, and as far as i can gather "fix permissions" is removed from Disk Utility in 10.11 because the permissions are handled automatically in El Capitan. The above did the trick.)

This got me a laptop with working sound, but useless sleep - RehabMan said somewhere in this incredibly long thread, that it might be an issue with the graphics - which then made me change the video memory in BIOS from 512 to 64 mb. (At first i figured; "the more memory the better" - not the case.)

So now all i personally need, is a compatible wifi-card, then i got a hell of a work laptop :)

And yes i know, that a lot of this is already described throughout the thread, but i personally used quite a bit of time on finding the right kexts and whatnot, so i thought i would summarize it, maybe someone else can use the info.

I realized now that there is no sound coming from headphones, it seems like it does not know that they are connected and plays the sound through internal speakers. Any ideas what might be the problem?

edit.
Its working now for no reason...

Your summary might be better placed in its own thread where it is more likely to be found.

I did laugh just a little about "the more memory the better" part...

Thank you thank you Rehabman! With that being said is there any wifi card that'll have 802.AC/Bluetooth 4.0 or do I need to get a new PC. And if I need to get a new laptop which one would it be. I'm looking for a 14" screen i5 or i7 , two SSD one for Window 10 and OS X El Capitan . I know that's allot to throw at you but I really appreciate it.

You might consider a Lenovo u430. It has a well written guide: http://www.tonymacx86.com/el-capita...u330-u430-u530-using-clover-uefi-10-11-a.html

It has space for an mSATA + SATA SSD.
