AppleBacklightFixup.kext is still not needed

ok. file removed

run hackintool and click on extensions, let it do a scan and make sure your kexts are up to date

the scan is the 2 arrows in shape of circle in middle bottom part of the 'extensions' tab?

it highlights the kexts in red/pink that are installed and update available.

does hackintosh download it and install it?.
i tried the download selected. but nothing happens. it uncheck the pink/red highlighted kexts

or its a diy download and remove old kexts and put in new kexts?

also, battery icon wont display.
enabled at system preferences power but after clicking enable it shows breifly before turning itself off.

For your trackpad did you not try voodoops2controller from my EFI folder?

i tried your efi to boot on usb and on hdd, didnt have audio wifi bt, and later on testing found the trackpad wasnt working also.

maybe your efi and main hdd /L/E folder has the files in different places so its appears to be working for you, assuming you are running a 10.14.6 system with your suggested clover version.

I recommend this version for HP

click the tick next to the outdated kexts and click the download button

it downloads to your desktop

then copy them over to your clover/kexts/other folder in your efi

ok thanks. tested. the newest voodoops2controller.kext v 2.2.8 at the time of writing, keboard input doesnt work. trackpad doesnt work.

removed it, and put rehabmans 1.9.2 so can use keyboard and trackpad just move pointer and click buttons

if you have a 4230s laptop, how come you are using SSDT-8x0G1h ?

you have a 6th series laptop, not an 8th series...

yep. main laptop. getting old and broken parts

replace FakeSMC.kext with VirtualSMC.kext

you have no battery kext... so add in SMCBatteryManager.kext that comes with VirtualSMC.kext

then replace old VoodooPS2Controller.kext with new one:

you have 3 ethernet kexts... check hackintool to see which one you have and remove the other 3 that are not needed
