Hi, Sorry for late response.

I just check again.
With 840 G1 docked, the DP port on dock works. DP port on 840 G1 not work.

Assuming DP on laptop works when not docked... probably is the expected result.

thanks for reply
is it possible to disable this feature?

There are some patches that can disable it. Look at the config.plist in my NUC repo on github.

Hi Rehabman,
i have my 8460p with osx sierra installed with your guide.
I download high sierra and launch from terminal installation with no conversion to APFS removing alle kext from other folder maintaining only fakesmc, ethernet kext
It start correctly without error unitil i receive message unable to install High Sierra and the only choice is reboot (it suggests to do a diagnostic on startup pressing "d" ) .
Any ideas?

As per guide, you cannot have an MSR partition and expect to manipulate your partitions with Disk Utility.

Thanks for the explanation !

I just dont understand why i didnt have this problem on previous updates (El Capitan and Sierra) and only have it now when updating to High Sierra.

Anyway, i was not so keen on deleting MSR partition, so i did it by another way : used CCC to clone to a USB disc, Updated to High Sierra on USB disk, and used CCC again to clone it back to SSD (always with safety Net OFF). At the end i rerun your scripts and copied the files to the correct places on EFI partition. Running High Sierra with everything working.

Yes. DP on laptop works when undocked.

So... it seems like that is expected... the port on dock is just the same port on the laptop.
So both are not expected to work at the same time for separate monitors.
