Yes, FakeSMC.kext always required.

hy rehabman i dont understand why under sierra 10.12.6 all the hardware is working fine but when i installed high sierra on another part hfs+ with your provided tutorial the sound and the wifi is not functioning // i don't know what i am missing // my hardware id for the sound and wifi are -> IDT92HD81B1X (0x14E4) (0x4353) maybe the wifi isn't anymore supported in the new OS ?

hi rehabman i want to report some problem again after successful update to high sierra on hp 450 g1

1. reboot not working properly even the lcd turned off i still have to press the power button to reboot
2. HDMI not working both display and audio previously on 10.12 sierra it works fine (hd 4600)
   
3. internal audio working but not external both headphone jack and microphone (idt 92hd91bxx)
   
4. trackpad not detected in settings but it works (i think this is fine if not resolved since i rarely use it anyway)

after update i did download and install, install acpi from your repo and here is the file reporting

Hey,RehabMan,When I use the usb3.0 port to connect U disk, will prompt: USB Accessory Needs Power, Connect "Mass Storage Device" to a USB port on this Mac. USB 3.0 port can not be used normally. USB3.0 port connected to the mouse when the normal, no Any warnings.

hello, i followed this guide and after the "./install_downloads.sh" script i've been unable to boot.
I managed to boot again dropping the "SSDT-ZBook-G3-Skylake" file from EFI/clover/ACPI/patched (and adding "SSDT-DiscreteSpoof").
Now i got some acpi error on boot, too fast to be read, but the machine is up and running: graphics (HD 530), WiFi (a dell w1560), ethernet, backlight control (with even the brightness bar in the Display pane in sys. preference!).

The open issues are: audio, battery and reboot on shutdown. I guess that all this three issue are due to the SSDT-ZBook-G3-Skylake. Any hint about how to fix't?

EDIT: All solved. I'll post a guide asap
