[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch

Status
Not open for further replies.
Dear @RehabMan

I'm also having graphic glitches mostly on videos and random freezes from time to time, I have to turn off the laptop manually and start it again.

I'm on High Sierra 10.13.1

Pease find attached the Problem Reporting files.

I would appreciate for your response.

Regards

Try without Lilu.kext/IntelGraphicsFixup.kext.
In theory, they do nothing for HD3000, so removing them should have no effect.
Also, remove the USB audio device (attached at HP13).

Please note your EFI/Clover/kexts/Other is completely wrong.

Thank you so much mate, hope it will be fine now.
And the USB Audio Device are headset, it had the same problem even before I got them.

I cannot get HD4000 HDMI (Disp Port) Audio on this HP Folio 9470m to work.

I initially installed a folder for 10.13 available on this site. It seemed to work beautifully, but supplied the audio via a Voodoo kext. HDMI Audio, while present in Preferences, didn't work at all.

I then followed your guide (4 times before I got it right!) and now have native audio, but still no HDMI audio. This is very important since this machine has to host a karaoke system!

I tried toleda's audio_cloverHDMI-130_v0.6.command script, and it seemed to work, but still no audio on the HDMI.

I tried to follow the various instructions for patching the DSDT, but only acquired multiple headaches.

Attached is the required RehabMan folder and my EFI folder.

Thanks!

Sorry... I did follow post #1 to the letter (4th time without any shortcuts). HDMI Audio still refuses to work. Audio MIDI Setup shows only Built-in Input and Output, with and without HDMI connected, even after reboot with HDMI attached. I only tried Toledo's script because Intel HDMI wasn't present.

Thanks again,
Las Vegas

The ioreg you attached shows no HDMI device connected.
HDMI audio not expected to work without an HDMI device connected.
Your config.plist is wrong (it has inappropriate edits).
Read post #1, "Final config.plist"

Replaced config.plist with unedited config_9x70m. Booted while connected HDMI and checked Sound Preferences and Audio MIDI Setup. Still no HDMI Audio...

Sending corrected Clover folder and IOReg while HDMI connected. I did verify that this HDMI has sound in Windows 10.

Thanks again RepoMan!

I have 9x70m as having a DP port, not HDMI.
Is that not accurate?
