Dell DW1560 should be fine. I ordered one, but it have not arrived yet.

Note: DW1560 is BCM94352Z.
Note 2: Less patches required with BCM943602BAED.

Hi RehabMan,

Thank you for your clear and easy guide. I'm not sure if you mentioned this in the guide yet, but in my laptop 8470p with CPU i5-3320M, running only ./ssdtprgen.sh will limit CPU to x8 only, and the system is extremely slow. I have to run with "-w 3" to get PM working well.

Thanks for the wonderful guild. I will try it on my hp 4230s later (upgraded to i7-2630qm)

You're back with an EliteBook, eh?

It is probably a bug in ssdtPRgen.sh. It used to do -w 3 for Ivy automatically, but somewhere along the way it was changed to not do that for certain versions of OS X. I think it is a mistake. The ssdtPRgen.sh script has an email for bug reports.

(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

Note: When specifying your bootloader, if using Clover legacy, please be sure to specify "Clover legacy"). Specifying "Clover" will be assumed as "Clover UEFI"

Piker is aware of that, but he decides it's not a bug, we have to test and find best setting. It was default to 3 in the very old version, and now he sets to 1.

I added a note in post #1 regarding the possibility of -w 3 for Ivy.
This is good to know, as I have a i5-3360m SR0MV on order for my HP ProBook 4440s, once it arrives which will be Tuesday (reference Star Trek: Generations anyone? lol) I will report if this happens to me as well.

Hi RehabMan,
I've following you for while but so far I was able to build my hackintosh without any extra help just following yours or others tutorials.. However, this time I'm need of some help to make my GPU to fully work. It's working but I can't play mkv videos, just mp4 on Quicktime or Youtube videos as acceleration doesn't seem to be fully working.

To get to this point I had to add inject Intel and add the fake id:
Code:
        <key>ig-platform-id</key>
        <string>0x191b0000</string>
        <key>NvidiaSingle</key>

GPU Bios is set to:
Mem: 64MB
Graphics: Auto - there is no way to use HD P530 only, so your SSDT disable the NVidia.

Audio - Mic/Speaker work great.
Camera too - tested on Skype

I haven't run the power management scripts(ssdtPRGen.sh) yet and done the hibernate/sleep change.
Here is my spec:
http://h20386.www2.hp.com/AustraliaStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=T9S44PA&opt=&sel=NTB

Zbook Studio G3
Intel Xeon E3-1505M V5 2.80GHz
32GB RAM DDR4
Intel HD P530 - IGPU - 90% working
NVidia Quadro M10000M - not working
15.6" diagonal FHD UWVA IPS anti-glare LED-backlit (1920 x 1080)
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 8260 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2x2) non-vPro Wi-Fi and Bluetooth® 4.0 combo - not working - not supported hardware
HDMI port - not working
DP -> USB 3 type C - not working
USB 3 ports - working
Kingston 240GB HyperX Predator M.2 SSD SHPM2280P2/240G - Fully working
Toshiba XG3 SSD 512GB THNSN5512GPU7 M.2 2280 NVMe - Showed up once and never more. Also, it showed up on a recovery boot in the Disk Utility.

I've attached the files asked on the first post - unsupported laptops - however I can't do a lscpi -nn on a Linux terminal as this laptop doesn't have a CD/DVD drive and the only USB drive I have, I used to install El Caption on it first before moving to the internal SSD(Kingston).

Any help will be very much appreciated.. Thanks a lot!!!

Try with the changes just checked into SSDT-IGPU and the new build of FakePCIID.

I noticed under System Profiler my computer was recognized as a MacBook Pro. I was putting off setting up my SMBIOS because I was happy with it booting. So, I set it up as a MacBookPro and now it won't boot. I think it had no fields filled in before except for the identifier which was a MacBookAir7,1 but I'm not sure.

I have an HP ProBook 450 G3
