[Guide] HP ProBook/EliteBook/Zbook using Clover UEFI hotpatch (10.11)

I'm trying to get audio working, but every time
I attempt to reboot without caches, I can't get into the OS. It just sticks with the progress bar at the very end, but never fully boots. I find that after this happens, the only way that I am able to boot back into the OS is pulling the battery. So, consequently, I haven't been able to rebuild the caches to try to make the audio work. Also, probably not related, but the brightness keys worked before, but now I notice all it does is make the screen flash. Thanks in advance.

Your kextcache output shows that you did not follow the guide.

Read post #1 (Hint: you need to use download.sh and install_downloads.sh).

I can see that the connector-type is now 00 04 00 00, which matches the physical connector. Does audio on the HDMI device still work? If so, we can conclude it really doesn't matter whether the patch is present for DP connectors or not (we already know the patch is needed for the case the physical connector is HDMI).

Your ioreg shows power management not implemented. Note from bootlog:
Code:
1:726 0:000 Inserting SSDT.aml from EFI\CLOVER\ACPI\patched ... wrong table

So... something is wrong with your SSDT.aml in ACPI/patched.

Keep in mind MacBookAir5,2 SMBIOS often needs -xcpm kernel flag (reason unknown).

The sound is working OK.
I reinstall your script and changed to 9,2 SMBIOS.
Now the SSDT.aml is loaded, but I have to boot with -xcpm flag (strange?). Without the flag the laptop restart at boot with a message like: Pstate 18 at step 17.

Also verified that now, even if I change again to 5,2 SMBIOS couldn't ever start laptop without the -xcpm flag! Even with cleared EC.

It is typical with your CPU (and a few others like it).

Thanks for all your hard work RehabMan!!!
Tested and working here on ZBook 17 G1 with the files for ZBook G2 Haswell. I was moving over from ProBook Installer and had to delete the kexts from S/L/E and EFI partition. A few notes:
-smooth fan works nicely for me
-audio and webcam work!
-keyboard layout should be Key87 (I'm guessing on ZBook G2 as well)
-USB3 isn't working 100% so I'm attaching the IORegs for that

Thanks a million!

The install_downloads.sh script should remove any kexts installed by PBI-CE.
I will change the scripts to KEY87.

Nothing attached.

Whoops, sorry bout that -- here you go!

No bluetooth installed?
Also, remove FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext (it is in /Library/Extensions) and collect again ioreg (both USB2 + USB3 devices).

Yup, here you go. IORegs without FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext installed.
Sorry I had onboard bluetooth disabled and was using a USB dongle (not connected). But I figured I better turn BT back on. So here you go.
