when usb device into any USB port, then shutdown becoming restart(especially SSP2/HS02 port)[others port just intermittent]

I assume never a shutdown problem with no external devices plugged into USB.

Is it all devices? Or just storage devices? Please be specific about the devices you have plugged in.

Any difference if you boot with -uia_exclude_xhc? It will effectively disable USBInjectAll.kext... you will go back to DSDT control of XHC injection.

booting with a boom...

Any difference without CodecCommander?

Sorry,Our dorm will cut off our power at 11:30 PM, so I could not say clearly details..

my USB:
[HS02/SSP2]
[HS03.2/SSP3.2]
[HS03.3/SSP3.3]

## boot with USBInjectALL
- yes, never a shutdown problem with no external devices plugged into USB
- all devices in [HS02/SSP2] will cause problems.
- only storage devices(USB3.0) in [HS03.2/SSP3.2] or [HS03.3/SSP3.3] ports will cause Restart problems.(only once happened,I tried again, everything was all right again.)
- I can hear the sonic boom,when I see this code(from console):

I also found [HS02/SSP2] is USB 3.0 charging port ,witch can be used to connect the USB device charging,in time the computer is turned off.
Connects an optional USB device. The USB charging port can also charge selectmodels of cell phones and MP3 players, even when the computer is off.NOTE: A USB charging port (also referred to as a powered USB port) allowsyou to charge connected USB devices. Standard USB ports will not charge allUSB devices or will charge using a low current. Some USB devices require powerand require you to use a powered port.

so,[HS02/SSP2] can't to be a normal USB port. It would use UsbConnector= 255??

Sorry,Our dorm will cut off our power at 11:30 PM, so I could not say clearly details..

You did not answer my question regarding -uia_exclude_xhc.

The audio pop/boom is only on boot, right? And nothing to do with USB, correct?

You can check. If it populates when you plug an external device into a port, then it is a normal port (would be zero or 3). Ports marked internal (255) are for internal devices that cannot be removed (webcam, finger print reader, touchscreen, bluetooth, etc).

about -uia_exclude_xhc:
- all devices in [HS02/SSP2] will cause problems.
- [HS03.2/SSP3.2] and [HS03.3/SSP3.3] seems good.

only first time i hear audio pop/boom ( only on boot),I didn't do anything else.

So same as with USBInjectAll and custom SSDT configuration...

only first time i hear audio pop/boom ( only on boot),I didn't do anything else.

What do you mean by "only first time"? I think you mean only on cold boot.

yes, same as with USBInjectAll and custom SSDT configuration

no, i have test many times(five or six?)
only first time i hear audio pop/boom

Let's see if there is an alternate configuration. I need more information though...

Remove SSDT-USB-820-G2.aml, then post ioreg.

So it is not a problem anymore? Please clarify. You wrote 'no' to my assumption that it was on cold boot. So now I don't know what you mean by "first time". First time doing what, exactly?

oh,I know."first time" is warm boot(because a usb device in [HS02/SSP2]),after that,all code boot can't hear the pop/boom.

cold boot: booting from power off
warm boot: booting from a restart

Are you saying that the audio pop is related to the USB devices plugged in?

Please be precise in your descriptions.

Describe the repro scenario in step-by-step. For example:

Just an example:
- turn off laptop with Apple->Shutdown
- press power button
- boot OS X
- no pop is heard from audio
- plug in USB storage device to HS02
- select Apple->Restart
- boot OS X
- pop is heard before reaching the desktop
- select Apple->Restart (USB device still plugged in)
- boot OS X
- no pop is heard

Conclusion: the pop only happens on the first restart after a cold boot and only if you have a USB2 storage device plugged in.

Complete details matter. Without them, no idea what you're reporting.
