My laptop have a SmartCard reader builtin.
With the new configurations from your repository, the SC feature disappeared!

In attach is the ioreg with the SmartCard reader enabled.

I see no "SmartCard" reader in this ioreg. If it is connected to USB (just a guess), boot with -uia_ignore_rmcf and attach ioreg.

@RehabMan...
I've searched the site concerning the correct SMBIOS for Broadwell systems and came to my own conclusion that although About This Mac is reporting Mac Pro (Early 2008), my System is reporting as Macbook Air 7,2. I want MBA7,2 for correct operation. So really, the About This Mac is only a cosmetic report and can be left alone or changed to reflect the system profiler report for uniformity without any performance loss during use.

I have included my IOREG so you can take a peek just to confirm or dispute what I'm thinking. I'm researching now how to edit the About This Mac to sync with the system reporting.

Read post #1, "Problem Reporting".

Seems that it is a internal USB device. Booting with that flag it appears!
The laptop also have a FingerPrint reader, but that doesn't work with OSX, AFAIK.
Where goes the new ioreg.

Added HP18 for the smart card reader. Finger print reader is already disabled since it is useless on OS X.

So really, is About This Mac only a cosmetic report and can be left alone or is something up spoofing the report and it must be changed to reflect the system profiler report for uniformity?

You need to provide all SMBIOS data in config.plist/SMBIOS (board-id, BIOS version, etc). There is no direct support in Clover for MacBookAir7,2 so it fills in defaults from MacPro3,1. About this Mac model is based on board-id.

I thought as much. I'll get on it and edit the config.plist, saw some threads earlier concerning this issue with early Broadwell adopters.

Thanks, I'll report further...

RehabMan,

I have be studying your guide in preparation of transition from PBI-CE to installation. I have gone through the steps except any install script just to verify what gets created etc. The first issue I ran into is the build.sh failed since iasl was not installed on my system. I found its zip file in tools folder, unzipped it and copied it to /usr/bin. You may want to add those steps to your guide for people like me.

Since my 4530s is working fine on 10.11.4 I am a bit hesitant to proceed. I am searching the forum for someone who had success with the transition from PBI-CE.

Thanks.
