I have created the USBPorts.text for my HP 8300 MT using Hackintool but have not tried it. I am using OC 0.6.4 with BS 11.2.1. I note that you there are no renames patches in your config.plist. Do I need those only during port discovery?I've put together a beginner's video guide for making the OpenCore USB installer with Big Sur. Catalina can be used as well but the video only shows Big Sur. Make your USB installer to have it ready to go when Sniki posts the full install guide. If you already have your hardware set and working you can skip the first two minutes and go to the Big Sur download part at 2:01. If you do proceed with the install, remember to take out the Catalina/Clover or OC SSD you have been using. Install to a clean 2.5" SSD or format that if you have data you no longer need on it.

as previously booting Clover on the same HP can cause conflicts with what it has left stored in NVRAM. This way you can try out Big Sur but still go back to Catalina Clover or OC if you'd like to. You older install will still continue to work just as it did before.
Buying a new SSD to try the install ? $22.99 at Amazon for a new Kingston 120GB.
Good deals on 240GB drives if you need more storage.

Do you use the iGPU only? can you please share your EFI files?Thank you @Sniki and @trs96 for the guides. I remember buying this HP 8300 for college after Ive seen your Hackintosh guides two years ago. Anyway, mine is on OC 0.6.3 Big Sur Beta 11.0.1 working perfectly like a real Mac Pro Trash can. Do you guys think this can still be upgraded with latest macOS in the coming years?

When using OC and Big Sur you don't need any in your .plist.Do I need those only during port discovery?
@trs96 I used the attached map (for XHCI only), left in the renames, disabled USBInjectAll, set USB port limit to False, and the USB3.0 ports started to work. I have two hacks and a MacBook Pro and at times I see the same hack in iCloud twice. Today, I had to log out/in on from iCloud on each machine because of warnings. After I fixed those, my HP 8300 machine would not boot past the Apple logo. I had to put USBInjectAll.kext back in and deactivate USBMap.kext. I then recreated the map using USBMap.command script (nothing I can see changed) but it still hangs at the logo. Any ideas what is going on? I also attached my EFI folder (with USBMap.kext disabled, so I can boot up). When using OC and Big Sur you don't need any in your .plist.
Why not use Sniki's USBPorts.kext instead ?I had to put USBInjectAll.kext back in and deactivate USBMap.kext. I then recreated the map using USBMap.command script
Is the RX560 fully removed from the PCIe slot ? If not, do that. You should use DP not VGA output. Also make sure the iGPU (integrated video)is enabled. Sniki's EFI is set up for HD4000 to work. There should be nothing you have to change. Make sure all your BIOS settings are correct.my computer is hp8300, and the CPU is I7 3770, and use the iGPU HD4000.
i try to install the big sur using opencore which @Sniki upload in the github, but is not work to me.
after the opencore option screen, choose the install big sur option, then it enter into an unreadable screen
I should have said I tried it already. My SMBIOS is iMac15,1. I looked at what he has done and, unless I missed it I saw no differences. So I changed one SMBIOS to iMac15,1 and it hangs up too. I will try MacPro6,1 and his map as is.Why not use Sniki's USBPorts.kext instead ?
