I know this may be off the 6300/8300 topic but I have been through two bad 8300 refurbished units (not a trusty reseller).

But have found a z220 Tower with i7 3770 at a really good price. Anyone know if this unit is Hack-able?

I saw this post on someone's build

https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/hp-z220-sff-intel-i5.198763/

And they said the same guide could work for a 6300/8300.

So just wondering I its a pretty similar install process (that being thats its not too complicated :)

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I've never owned a Z220. From what I've heard reported, it's no more difficult to install HS than it is on the 8300 models. Just use the HD4000 graphics and follow the guide in post #1.

Thanks again for all the help @trs96

I just noticed the z220 unit Im looking at has a i7 2600, not a i7 3770. Would that still be able to work, or best to get a i7 3770 for the unit?

Probably not hey? Cos it doesn't support HD40000

Also, any recommendations on cards to add to a 6300 tower to give extra USB3 ports internally.

Any links on Amazon that work would be great :)

I have a HP 6300 Pro , will it work with this graphic card : Zotac gtx 650 Ti 1gb?

Thank you for the guide! I have HP Elite 8300 SFF with i7-3770. I'm running Clover v4630. Installed High Sierra. I'm unable to boot from Hard Disk only however, I can boot with USB without any issues. Booting in verbose mode shows the following (see attachement). Any ideas what to check, how to troubleshoot the issue? Thanks in advance.

Solved: After I copied EFI folder from USB disk to Hard Disk I was able to boot from only Hard Disk. Thanks!
