Hi, I have a HP ProDesk 600 G1 DM with an i3-4130T cpu and the onboard HD4000. Is this hackintoshable?
Absolutely. I don't think that CPU has HD4000 as that was Ivy Bridge only. It's likely got HD4400 which is not natively supported. Check it on Intel's website. I'm not sure what DM stands for but if possible add a compatible GPU. If you can't fit a GPU then try and get the HD4400 graphics to work. Use site search to learn how to do that.

Just wanted to say a big thanks to trs96 for this guide.

I have just finished my own HP Elite 8300 build and everything works flawlessly.

I managed to get an i7 for a decent price, and although the choice of buying new memory and GPU bumped the cost up significantly, it is still amazing bang for buck.

Glad to hear it worked out well for you. These 8300 models are a really incredible value right now. They should also be able to run Mojave just as well once that is publicly released this Fall.

Link to the Dell Optiplex 7010 Guide

For anyone that wants a fanless mini-CustoMac, the Dell 7010 USFF works well for that. The stock heatsink is solid copper and it has 3 copper heat pipes. Just unplug the CPU fan and front case fan, hit the F1 key at boot up and you've got an instant silent computer. The internal PSU has a tiny fan that is barely audible. You have to listen really hard just to hear it.

Here are my CPU temps at idle with no fans at all:

CPU is a core i5-3475S it's rated at a base clock speed of 2.9 GHz. It stays around 45-48C with normal usage. I'm using Arctic MX2 thermal paste which was freshly applied when I installed the core i5 CPU. I wouldn't try to run an i7-3770 fanless in one of these, but you can use the i3-3225 or i3-3245, both of which have HD4000 graphics.

Anyone tried putting Sandy Bridge into HP 8300? I have HP 8300 with G870 and can get 2500K (with HD3000) for a good price. Will it work with integrated video?

With High Sierra, not as well as with HD4000 graphics. And we know that HD3000 won't be supported in Mojave if you ever want to upgrade to that. So even though the price is low it may be better to go with an Ivy Bridge based chip. Here's the options you have with HD4000 on chip:

i3-3225 - i3-3245 - i5-3475S - i7-3770S - i7-3770

The first three can often be found used on Ebay for 40 dollars or less. The 3770s for 100 dollars or less.

Fair point, thank you. I've forgot about HD3000 deprecation in Mojave.

Intel® Core 3570K i5 3,4 GHz also has Intel HD4000

I updated the GPU bios about a week and no more black screens. I ran windows 10 (WinToUSB) on a pendrive and updated the GPU Bios downloading F3_Beta form this site: https://www.gigabyte.com/Graphics-Card/GV-N1050OC-2GL#support-dl-bios
Now it works like a charm!!!

works! i update the GPU Bios with wine.
I need to resolve 2 minor things:
1. Sierra is now more slowly in some tasks, and when launch the desktop to start working.
2. I would like to set my Dell monitor as primary (HDMI or mDP , the one that cause me problems)

Hi

I’m back with my 8300 USDT and an 3770k. About Mac says High Sierra 10.13.1
iMac End 2013 and Intel Graphics 4000 with 3MB

Update:
The above issue is fixed! I have had a wrong setting in the bios. VIDEO as LEGACY instead of UEFI.
So now it runs with 1900 and says Intel 4000 with 8MB.

But I still cannot Boot directly from the internal ssd. I need to boot with the USB Drive and from there I can boot the internal SSD.

If I try to boot directly from the SSD it shows a circle with a crossbar and hangs ...

How can I find the difference in the setting which enable its to start with the boot loader from the usb but to hang with the settings from the ssd?
