And also can you still use this setup guide for Catalina? Still the same steps and Kexts that have to be changed?
Best way to find out is to install Catalina to a new SSD with your existing EFI folder, your Mojave SSD should be removed from your 6300 first to avoid any confusion when installing. It would be better to use the Catalina version of Clover that comes with Unibeast but it's not mandatory. You could either use Unibeast for Catalina to make your installer or read Sniki's Catalina guide for the HP 6300/8300 to upgrade Clover manually.

Give it a try and report back how it goes.

OK thank you.

I'll get a new SSD and Flash drive and follow the Sniki guide.

Will post back here if all goes well

Good idea, that way you don't have to clone your existing drive first. When picking a Clover version don't use the very newest one that has OpenCore elements added to it. Stop at something like 5123 or older than that. The latest release will not work with Sniki's guide. As you'll see in Sniki's guide, kexts no longer get installed to /L/E anymore when installing Catalina or a newer macOS version. It doesn't work well with security changes made by Apple.

Thanks.

Can I still use this '100 Percent Working and Easily Affordable CustoMac' guide but instead just use a Catalina installer instead of a Mojave one, and the same EFI folder. Or is Sniki's guide the way to go with Catalina?

Yes, as you'll see in Sniki's guide, kexts no longer get installed to /L/E folder anymore when installing Catalina or a newer macOS version. It doesn't work well with security changes made by Apple. My Sierra guide was written way back in 2017 when most everyone kept their kexts in /L/E.

One other important note. You can't use any of your 32 Bit apps in Catalina. Not sure if you knew that already or not. Another good reason to keep the Mojave SSD available for use.

If you want to add Wifi and Bluetooth to your 8300 (SFF in my case), I can recommend the FV-A436CS2 from Fenvi's AliExpress shop. Low profile bracket, plug and play when using the internal MEDIA or MEDIA2 USB connectors.

These can also be purchased on Amazon or Newegg. The model # is different but it's the same Broadcom chip in the adapter. FV-HB1200. www.amazon.com or www.newegg.com

https://www.newegg.com/fenvi-fv-hb1200-pci-express/p/0XM-00JK-00062?Item=9SIADXZ9CS9385

The FV-A436CS2 doesn't just have a different model number, it also looks different from the FV-HB1200 and is cheaper. They might use the same Broadcom chip, of course.

My order from Fenvi's AliExpress shop took less two weeks to arrive in Germany, so I can definitely recommend this option for European customers. The Fenvi cards are very expensive at Amazon here (more than double the price).
