Hello everyone and welcome!
First of all, I apologize for my bad English….

This guide works on all laptops with Mojave or Catalina provided with Thunderbolt 3.
The Thunderbolt 3 security option must be disabled in the bios.

Let's start

The following procedure is necessary for the correct operation of the eGPU:

step 1: turn on the pc
step 2: stop clover countdown

step 3: we connect the thunderbolt 3 to the pc

step 4: turn on eGPU

step 5: wait for a few seconds... press enter and start boot....

At this point the eGPU will be recognized and it will work… but we still have a problem .....
If the eGPU is attached to an external screen it works perfectly….
But if we want to use the eGPU on the integrated screen not all apps will use it…

I found an interesting solution with this hdmi key:

Just connect it to an hdmi output of the eGPU

and set the screens in this way

All work great!
And now we can use our eGPU on the integrated screen!

- Dell XPS 13 9370 (i7 8550u)
- Dell XPS 15
- HP Elitebook 850 (i7 8550u)

My eGPU case:

My graphic card AMD RX 580

@desmomarco999 Nice guide! Does Hotplug work for you though? Got the eGPU on my T480s working right in the beginning - but without Hotplug capability, so once I remove the eGPU, the laptop freezes:

Damn, it just works !
So, confirmed on the T480s :p and at least "hot"-unplug is possible now.
Should have tried the V1 earlier, though V3 was in any case superior but didn't work at all for me.

Best, Phil
