Hey Guys,
Wondering if you guys might be able to help me out as I am at a loss for the install now.
I have been at this for the last couple of days now and I am unable to boot to the desktop.
I have gone through the guide I can not find where I am going wrong. Still have not figured this out. Can any extra pair of eyes tell me what I'm doing wrong? ...(this is all deja vu because I had this problem 7 years ago with this system).

I was up and running on El Capitan just fine and decided to go ahead and upgrade to Sierra. Unfortunately I installed on my previously working boot drive.

The Build:

Mobo: GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 (Bios U1c)
Processor: Intel Core i3 2125
RAM: Corsair Dual Channel 1600MHz 16GB (4x4GB)
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS / Onboard video
HDD: 2TB HD Segate - 256gb SSD

BIOS Settings
-Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H-B3 Bios U1c
-Enable AHCI
-Disable Intel Virtualization Technology

I have gone through and done the following so far.

Install MacOS phase
Step 1 Built a UEFI USB stick using Unibeast
Step 2 Booted with the USB stick
Step 3
Installed MacOS Sierra

It got all the way through the install and on reboot it shows the load progress bar but it stops at at 65%.

Any suggestions?

so you installed sierra but can't complete the first boot?

where is it stopping? did you boot in verbose mode to see if you see any errors? share a piiture of the last lines of the boot log in this case!

Two potential issues:
1. Some Z68 MB do not recognize a guid formatted usb. Try formatting the usb with MBR (that is, when making the install usb from Multibeast, select the legacy not uefi format), and make sure the bios is set to recognized uefi and legacy.
2. Make sure that fakesmc is in the 'Other' folder on the usb installer.

Boot your system in Verbose Mode and post a picture of your screen when it freezes/hangs.
At Clover Boot Screen press space bar and select Verbose (-v) and Don't reboot on panic (debug=0x100).

OK I would try the following:
Sometimes this board acts very strange not sure why but it does. First reload the bios and re do the settings, secondly get another usb stick sometimes usb sticks have a lot of issues for example I spent an hour with a brand new sandisk usb stick I bought from Costco for the life of me I could not get an efi partition to mount it just wouldn't make one. I used a cheap no name brand and it worked. so yeah sometimes you have to redo and re trace all of your steps. Gluck
