Ok, thanks for the explanation. I'm using only config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/Generate/PluginType=true and seems fine.

BTW I have "Intel Virtualization Technology" and "VT-d" Support enabled in BIOS, and it looks like nothing is wrong, why is recommended to turn them off?

Off-topic, but VT-d affects Intel graphics and your profile indicates you're using Nvidia.

With only PluginType = True seems to work, so I don't know what the other option (XCPM) is for

weird, I have the same CPU and turboboost to 4.8ghz and can't pass 6300 SC and 26000 MC (on geekbench score). how did you reach 33000? If I boot in windows I do get 33000 or so. with no bios changes.

I'm not sure. Make sure that don't have any application opened or that the system is doing something in the background like time machine backup or indexing spotlight.

This are my settings:

You're awesome. I'll check those out against my rig.

Hi,

using config.plist/ACPI/SSDT/Generate/PluginType=true

do I need to keep Generate Cstate and Pstate checked or unchecked?

Thanks

i didn't check those. just plugintype was enough for me. it scaled fine.

I only used PluginType but maybe there is some benefit from using those others two, not sure.

I don't really know how to see if it makes any difference... This is just for CPU frequency scaling right?

With generate P and C, without, with Plugintype, without, with SSDT... in any case IntelPowerGadget shows the CPU is scaling correctly... So I don't really know what's the difference and what's the right choice
