[GUIDE] General Framebuffer Patching Guide (HDMI Black Screen Problem)

Yes, it looks like a Lenovo Y series, and Medion is owned by Lenovo. But these have also no big BIOS, take a look at the Legion Y530.

If this problem still exists, please post your config.plist but remove serial number from SMBIOS before uploading.
I still have the same problem, unfortunately.
Can you help me, please?

Please copy serial number into the attached file and try it. There are a lot of ACPI renames that are most likely not needed, but for now just try the file after copying serial number back into it.

hey Casey! You are sure are busy around here.

I updated my ASRock Deskmini 310W /w i3-8100 to 10.15.4 yesterday, from 10.14.6. I no longer can have both displays plugged in during startup over DP+HDMI. If I do, then the HDMI is black and the DP blinks on and off and has a corrupted appearance.

I was using the below FB properties on 10.14.6. Any ideas what needs to change for Catalina? Thanks!

Config with serials removed attached, although I've been trying a few different connector properties to no avail so it no longer has the one I've pasted in below.

What about nVidia cards in Mojave, aren't they supported anymore? I heard something. Luckily I only have AMD cards. However, for my Sapphire GPRO 4200 I could use some help too. It's a low profile card based on the Radeon R7 250 (AMD7000Controller), not very fast, but it needs less than 50W, has 4x Mini-Displayport and 4 GB RAM! I want to use it in my Shuttle-PC. Unfortunately, I just get two monitor ouputs working, and these also have some problems. On my Radeon HD6870 I had all four monitors working.

Great! On Intel 530 HD on an Asus 170Pro board:

Hello, is this thread still active?
I have problem with HDMI Port on my laptop. When i connect external monitor (using HDMI to VGA) to the laptop, laptop screen will be blank but not hapen to ext. monitor. Laptop screen will be fixed when the lid closed and open.
This problem only exist when using HDMI port, but when i try connect using VGA port, there is no problem at all.
Had tried with external monitor that using HDMI, the problem are the same.

I had try some patch on hackintool
- HDMI Infinite Loop fix (nothing happen, the problem still exist)
- Hotplug reboot fix (nothing happen)
- LSPCON driver with mode DP to HDMI 1.4 (same as above, nothing happen)
- and connector patching on this thread

busid of index 1 (used by HDMI port) is 0x05, had tried to change to 0x01, 0x04 but there is another problem when i'm trying to connect to HDMI port, the system would be freezing and nothing happen to external monitor
i don't know how to solve this, there is nothing on console too.

attached file is usable patch for my iGPU, that the problem for HDMI port just to reopen the lid.
Thanks in advance.
