Re: Stuck while booting

Hi,
I tried using the xmove method. I am stuck on the following line.
I used the -v option and PCIRootUID=0.
Code:
AppleIntelE1000e: Ethernet address <my MAC address>
:banghead:
Please help!
My system config:
Intel DH67VR Mobo
Core i3 2100 SandyBridge Processor
Graphics Intel HD 2000
(I know it is not supported, I don't care, I am desperate for a working Lion and I hope the above issue is not caused by my graphics. If not, I will deal with the graphics later.)
Seagate 1TB HDD + Seagate 250GB HDD(for SL/Lion)
4GB Corsair RAM

The problem is the HD2000 graphics. Lion is loading completely, but without a driver to show the desktop, it cannot. Therefore it's only showing the text that it can.

I noticed in your signature you say it's connected via VGA, that is why. You need to use either DVI or HDMI... also, could you post a screenshot of "about this mac"?

I strongly suspected that the VGA port was the issue. Apple hasn't put one on a Mac in years.

Thanks for sharing

What about sleep ?
I can't get it work :banghead:

I never use sleep so I cannot comment.

**EDIT** I do know if you are using the Official Realtek driver, it will give you sleep problems.

Thanks, it could be the point :)
But I've no network interface if I install Lnx2MAc's ethernet driver.
How did you get it to work ?

I used his new release which should be out anyday. For now, use the Official one.

Yup, that is definitely it. The graphics are being recognized fine.

I've ordered one of these:

and will hook it up to an Apple 27" LED Cinema Display. If it works at full res I'll be happy.

Re: Guide: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with ATI 6870 - Clean Lion Install

Sorry to pick this thread up for this question. 2 Others have asked this same question but there are no answers on those threads.

I am a total noob to hackintoshes. I have just purchased the hardware for building a new one and was thinking of clean installing Lion. I have a Macbook Pro on which I intend to download the Lion install. I have a feeling I should not reboot with the Lion install on the MBP as it will just install Lion.

How is it that the Lion installation just installs files and does not install the entire upgrade. It is confusing because all youtube videos of normal (non hackintosh) Lion installs show that as soon as the reboot happens Lion is actually installed. But Tony's blog clearly says reboot into SL. How is this possible? Does this happen only on Hackintoshes?

Can somebody clarify how I can xMove Lion to a USB, by downloading Lion on a Macbook Pro?

Thanks!

Re: Guide: GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 with ATI 6870 - Clean Lion Install

To get Lion on a USB drive via xMove you need to mount InstallESD.dmg.

So if you already have a computer with Lion, it probably deleted that DMG. Here's how to get it back again:

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/31 ... 0&tstart=0

Basically, redownload Lion from the App Store. Find the DMG and mount it (double click it). Then format a USB Drive (Mac OSX Journaled format) and run xMove.

That may not work. I'd get a monitor with DVI.
