Step 7.

Once USB install was successful please reboot from USB and start installation again.
This time choose Utilities->Terminal and do following. Please pay attention to / and lower-uppercase

cd / *change to the root of USB disk*
ls -al /Volumes *list available volumes to get names*
cp mach_kernel /Volumes/SL/ *copy to HD partition SL*
cp -R Extra /Volumes/SL/ *copy Extra folder to SL*
ls -al /Volumes/SL/ *list files on SL to make sure mach_kernel and Extra is there*

reboot with USB again and the prompt choose hard drive.
Install Chameleon to the hard drive, remove USB and reboot.

Let me know when you are ready for the 10.6.8 update.

Here is the details.
My USB Flash was named: Mac Os X Install DVD
My Hard Drive was named: Macintosh

How can I apply these to yours:
cd / *change to the root of USB disk*
ls -al /Volumes *list available volumes to get names*
cp mach_kernel /Volumes/SL/ *copy to HD partition SL*
cp -R Extra /Volumes/SL/ *copy Extra folder to SL*

just replace SL with the name of your HD partition Macintosh

Wow, after I installed the Chameleon you gave me,
I just get this error, black screen. can't boot on hard drive

boot0: GPT

boot0: GPT

But, sometimes.. when turn on my Laptop, I get Graphics Glitches, anyone who has problem with the same with me too?

Hi,in /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist there is long string which finishes with 30490111111108000001f01f0100000010070000 ,you can change the colored numbers with 010101.May be this will help you with Graphics Glitches.

I followed the guide for the 4530S, i3 and I can not get airport to connect. It is on but won't connect. I am currently using a Edimax nano USB adapter which works great. I have used them before in the towers that I built, but I would prefer to get airport working. Anyone have an Idea?

Did you try to press the wifi button once?

Tried that, It seems that button only works as a wake up button. Some times when I startup or Restart the screen comes up black. If I touch the wifi button the screen comes on. I wonder if that is related to my problem?
