[GUIDE] FOR INSTALLING 10.7.4 i3,i5,i7 USERS

Status
Not open for further replies.
Hello.

After upgrading from 10.7.3 to 10.7.4 using instructions from the 1st post I'm no longer able to boot into system (LY479EA#ACB, F20, i5-2450M, 4Gb, IntelHD)
After white logo there should be lightblue screen blink and then logon screen. But instead of this I get a glitched screen full of magenta/blue (or other random colors) vertical lines (like on dead videocard).

I tried multiple ways to recover:
- rBoot/rBoot-LE
- By putting NullCPUPowerManagement.kext into /S/L/E
- By deleting AppleHDA.kext and AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext from /S/L/E
- By replacing kext in /S/L/E and SSDT.aml/dsdt.aml in /Extra (from HP Probook Installer, MultiBeast and Patched 10.7.4)

Nothing works. I don't understand what is wrong.
All I can is to boot from USB-stick with 10.7.3 Installer and manipulate files with Terminal.

Any ideas?

I don't think your dsdt.aml is patched for audio. Are you using one from HP Installer? If not, please rerun installer and choose appropriate dsdt for your BIOS version

I recently upgraded to 10.7.4 and the bluetooth issue came back. Every time I put my Probook in sleep mode, bluetooth stops working. I installed the bluetooth fix on this thread and cleared my cache + repaired permissions, but it doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Re-install it... Try using disk utility after installing, reboot.

That didn't help.

Hello again.
I just can't boot 10.7.4 without NullCPUMan... :banghead:
Booted 10.7.4 with NullCPUMan and started all over again:

1. HP Probook Installer v.3.3.0:
- OS X Version - 10.7.3
- Ethernet Kext Installer
- Chimera v1.7.0
- i5 or i7 CPU SSDT's - i5 2430m
- DSDT - 4230s-4530s HD 3000 - BIOS revision F20
- Extra Tools - Old Kext Remover

2. Copied to Desktop from Patched 10.7.4:
- AppleHDA.kext
- AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext
- AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext
- IO80211Family.kext

3. Copied to Desktop from BLUETOOTH FIX:
- IOath3kfrmwr.kext
- IOBluetoothFamily.kext

4. Copied to Desktop from KEY BEEP FIX:
- ApplePS2Controller.kext

5. Run KextBeast

6. Run Kext Wizard
- System/Library/Extensions - checked both

7. In file /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
- Removed GeneratePStates=Yes
- Removed GenerateCStates=Yes
- Added DropSSDT=Yes

8. Copied SSDT from viewtopic.php?p=392857#p392857 to /Extra

9. Restarted

KP in AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext... :banghead:

10. Restarted and booted into installer

11. Using Terminal copied NullCPUPowerManagement.kext:
"cp -R /Extra/Extensions/NullCPUPowerManagement.kext /Volumes/Macintosh/System/Library/Extensions/"

12. Restarted

This is the only way I can boot into 10.7.4
Did I miss something?

has already started to delete the folder of BT file EXTRA Either
you use the file BT or IOath3kfrmwr.kext
not the two methods at the same time
Do not install 10.7.3 IOBluetoothFamily.kext
10.7.4 in the

use the SSDT for your processor is in the pack probook  no other

after we'll see what that does .....

...what?

Did you just delete SSDT.aml and NullCPUMan kext, then set DROPSSDT=Yes?

??, ?????? ???... ???? AppleCPUMan ?? BigDonkey viewtopic.php?f=259&p=372765#p372765
?? ???????? ? ???, ??? ???? ??????? ?? ?????! 70 ???????? ??? x28

Yes, exactly ... plus AppleCPUMan BigDonkey viewtopic.php?f=259&p=372765#p372765
But the problem is that the heated percent of it! 70 degrees in the x28... work only x8 and x28!

I am on x58. Does this guide apply to me then?
