I recently faced issue booting my machine.
It happened after my battery totally drained and laptop powered off at some point, when i recharged it and tried to boot i am stuck at boot screen.
Any suggestions to fix this are highly appreciated.

Here is what i have tried so far.

1. Reset / Clean NVRAM

2. Go over all the setting again in BIOS.

3. Apply the bit switches again (screenshot)

3. VerifyMsrE2

For deactivating CFG Lock you need to set it to 0x00 not 0x01.

Thank you very much @LeLunZ it was indeed the problem.

On the first page it says

disable cfg lock setup_var 0x4ed 0x01

I know… After I read that on the first page, I checked the extracted Bios binaries and found that this is indeed wrong.
Forgot to post it.

Monterey is on my agenda for next week with the release of OpenCore 0.7.5. My XPS 9560 is still my daily driver laptop, so I'm happy to maintain the EFI in a new thread. @blazinsmokey has done a huge amount of work to upkeep this EFI, but he may have sold his device or may not use it regularly.

hi guys
I am also in the loop with the upgrade my xps15 9560 from BigSur to Monterey
I found that this is possible only when OpenCore is already in 0.7.4
I try many times but no luck with the updates
opencore is very different from 0.6.4
