Also given @bozma88 's warning on the first post, I think I'll wait until we have a working nvme kext for 10.12.4 first...

I have the tosh nvme.

Sounds encouraging though I'm not sure if I'll be able to preserve all the existing (non-osx) partitions.

Still worth a play though...

Low level format = entire drive is erased

Update to MacOS 10.12.4 succeeded. Installed Clover 4035 before OS update. Everything's working fine.
If you are running NVME patches, wait for official release of 10.12.4 patches.
If you are running native NVME drivers via 4K LBA size format, update will require no actions other than updating Clover.

@bozma88 one little problem appears with headphones. Got the annoying static noise on idle, and highly noticeable cranks on soundcard start/sleep.

Clean install, all steps are the same.

After post install:

sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions && sudo kextcache -u /

kext-dev-mode allowing invalid signature -67062 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA0A for kext CodecCommander.kext
kext-dev-mode allowing invalid signature -67030 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA2A for kext cloverHDA.kext
kext-dev-mode allowing invalid signature -67013 0xFFFFFFFFFFFEFA3B for kext AppleMobileDevice.kext
KernelCache ID: 95F76ABF19EA1FAAA6A4283B26DFEC3E
symlink("/System/Library/PrelinkedKernels/prelinkedkernel", "/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/kernelcache") failed 17 (File exists) <createPrelinkedKernel 2795>

Thanks!

Yes, sound pop on headphones is very high and annoying. But I don't hear any noise on idle.
Do you hear it with speakers, or is it only a headphones issue?
Do you have ALC256 ssdt installed?

Sure, ACPI -> patched -> alc256.aml
Speakers works perfectly, and i don't hear any pop-up, soundcard start cranks, only the coil whine)
