No worries! I started out knowing nothing at all as well:)

1. You should be able to create a install usb as you are used to (follow various tutorials online and then copy my OC EFI folder to the EFI partition of the USB stick).
2. Then just install macOS as you already did and afterwards copy the OC EFI folder from the stick to the SSD.
3. You do not need new SSDTs as we have the same hardware, neither will you need to to USB port mapping (99% sure, because we have the same processor, same wireless card etc.).
4. Documentation is just the standard one from OC, so not important.
hi @Richylitschy , forgot to ask :
What version of OC is your EFI for 0.7.2 or 0.7.3( latest) ?
Can I just leave Clover Bootloader on its own partition with Mojave and install Open Core Mojave on another partition can they coexist or do I need delete clover from Boot options menu in BIOS?

Try those keys in combination with the Function (Fn) key.
couldn't get brightness and volume controls to work for 2 weeks reading how to patch OpenCore , etc ...
Today I've tried combination with Fn key , example Fn+F11 Fn+F12 and it works also for volume controls - its maybe not as convenient as using F keys alone but its works !
thank you @egore !

Have you looked into the BIOS? There is a setting to switch the default of the FN and function keys and it seem to me that you have it enabled.

Yesss! you've nailed it again @Richylitschy !
I had Fn LockMode Enable/Secondary in BIOS
changed it to Fn LockMode Disable/Standard - restart and F keys just work.
thanks a lot for helping and sharing the knowledge and your EFI

P.S. do you have external Line-in working ( not headphones) on the ComboJack on your XPS 13 ?

Hey! Just found this thread, but I'm not how much of the stuff is applicable for me as I have an 9350 (the i5 6200U version). Does anyone know if there is major differences? I'm having trouble with battery drainage and not getting multiple screens from TB3 / USBC and looking for any guidance. Any help would be highly appreciated!

Hi Everyone!

I have Sierra installed on the XPS 13 9360 16GB RAM since 2017 with Clover and wanted to upgrade to Big Sur or High Sierra. I have a few questions if someone can shed some light:

Which one is better for XPS 13 9360 - High Sierra or Big Sur? Sierra served me well for 4 years.

Do I have to perform a clean install (format ssd/partitions and install from USB etc) or can I update from appstore and use my EFI folder ?

In case the update is not a solution - can I use another existent partition on my SSD (extended journaled) to install High Sierra/Big Sur, without reformatting the drive (so to keep the Sierra) for a while?

I read that @egore has successfully installed Big Sur with OC. Can I migrate from Clover to OC to keep my settings first in Sierra and how this can be done?

@egore did you follow an XPS installation guide for OC? I only used clover up to now.

Any advise/help is highly appreciated!

Hi all

Revisiting this thread during the quiet festive period, just to post my latest updated settings for the XPS 9360 and OpenCore.

This is for the i7-7500U, but just add your CPUFriend data for any other processor (together with your SMBIOS data), and you should be good to go.
