[Guide] Dell Inspiron 3x37 - 5x37 -7x37 Clover, Yosemite/El Capitan

Please provide complete details in your profile/signature
(Profile/Settings link in upper right corner of this site)

Mobo: manufacturer/model + bootloader(Clover/Chameleon/Chimera)
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
Mobo: HP ProBook 4540s (Clover)
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx), and graphics capabilities. For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

I made some research and i was wrong i have ALC283 appeared after i made codec dump :banghead:

i tried once again ur patch but still not working

Download patchmatic: https://bitbucket.org/RehabMan/os-x-maciasl-patchmatic/downloads/RehabMan-patchmatic-2015-0107.zip
Extract the 'patchmatic' binary from the ZIP. Copy it to /usr/bin, such that you have the binary at /usr/bin/patchmatic.

In terminal,

mkdir ~/Downloads/RehabMan
cd ~/Downloads/RehabMan
patchmatic -extract

Note: It is easier if you use copy/paste instead of typing the commands manually.

Post contents of Downloads/RehabMan directory (as ZIP).

you're not following my guide correctly (please read carefully )
your laptop audio codec is ALC 283 and you're DSDT patch should be layout-id 3, but you're using layout-id 86 !!!!!!!!!


NOTE:i have tested and conformed the system same as yours with success by following the guide, I didn't have those problems with that system!!

I had following your guide from top to bottom but seems ur method doesn't work with me buddy !

am using the same clover config that u proved, also tried without caches and rebuild also with rehabeMan ALC_283 kext nothing change still don't get me output sound or input ! so what's wrong here :banghead:

Update: getting ready for fresh install and i will try once again maybe something goes wrong under my A LOT of modifying for getting audio working i will update u asap

Check that your AppleHDA_ALC283.kext is the current one from my u430 repo.

Note: You're using the correct layout-id=3. (eg. not the patch you claim to be using)
