on mojave you got sleep/wake by replacing the lcd panel is it? did you try to fixing it with EDID ?

EDID did not work, black screen on boot, the wierd Aspect ratio I think is what is causing this. A 16:9 ratio with a 1920x1080 screen works perfectly.

Alright, I've been replacing SSD, RAM, WIfi to work on hack, but no luck.
@RehabMan is replacing the screen the only solution for fixing sleep/wake?

I have concluded it is. take a look at some older posts. Unless someone else finds something that I have not already tried.
