Thanks for this guide! I was able to overcome the 2 line error and get into the install process. However I have reached a new hiccup: I get through to the end of the install to be told there was an error during the install and to try the process again. I tried to run the install again and get the same error. So I decided to turn off the computer and reboot and now I get the following message:

OsxAptioFix2Drv: starting overrides for .IABootFiles\Boot.efi
Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake: no
Error loading kernel cache (0xe)
Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting

Can't get to the install screen anymore and curious if anyone has any ideas as to what I need to do next.

I tried booting with the after install EFI folder and this error was still returned.

So you can´t boot again from the same install USB that worked before?

For me the Install prcess hang about 20 minutes with a full progress bar before it rebooted automatically.
I would try to make Install USB again in your case and then Install again.

- Did you use a version of EFI made for 4K display?
- Botting with/without and adapter?
- Tried different BIOS settings according to the guide?

I was able to resolve the issue by creating a new install USB.

However my new issue is that after the reboot my computer goes into what I imagine is a kernel panic and has the apple logo with a loading bar flash for a millisecond before the screen goes blank and then has a line or two of the startup text flash on the screen every 10 seconds or so. I've had this happen after 2 different installations and can't find any references to this problem elsewhere.

Did you use the post-install EFI folder?
